just bought a down pipe and a new diverter valve. Also I think the president of my college supports antifa and the violence they do.

the US immobilizer  pin is the fuel pump on the japan one, and it's the opposite on the japan one. so you solder a jumper to make both pins output the same thing (since the japan one didn't have an immobilizer it's just an inactive pin). this makes it compatible with the US wiring loom and your fuel pump turns on and off you go! lol

If you're doing it like that you're vaporising all the flux in the solder, if it's even flux core. You'd need a flux pen to make it smoother. 

And if you have a round tip and thick solder or can be very annoying to solder regardless.

I'm literally the very first person on the internet as far as I know that has figured out the the BP6D-18-881C is the japan 6spd manual transmission ECU and the BP6D-18-881B is the automatic japan ecu

i really didn't know the proper way to do it... every guide for soldering to a PCB is for soldering objects to a PCB, not wire to an object on a PCB. 

I figured out the very tip of my soldering iron is much colder than the area up above. the ticket was to tin the solder (I was using rosin core btw... and it was pretty thin) to the wire, then hold it above the PCB, touch it to the hot part of the soldering iron and slide it down quickly onto the pin on the board and if you did it right it would land right on the pin and the solder would harden just in time. 

 

$7 30-watt soldering iron is probably the problem if I had to guess. despite the pencil tip, the very tip of it just wasn't hot enough to melt the solder, which was super thin and came in a little skinny tall plastic container all coiled up and you pulled it out of the top as needed.

 

idk... i tried. took me almost an hour LOL

Yeah, thinning the tip makes the flux vaporise. The flux helps the solder stick and flow better. 

Ideally you'd want to hold the wire to the pin and hold the tip to both of them and apply the solder. 

It's easier to solder to a pin that  the surface mount pads.
