Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

my recommendation? buy a little. forget about it. Hold for a very long time.. just be sure to keep it in a safe place

Then buy a little more Everytime Bitcoin experiences major price drops..

Not buying monopoly money in hopes to turn a profit.

Got a new battery, still need to fill it with acid and charge it, but it fits okay.

In other news, I sold the bike! My friend from work is going to buy it, gonna pick it up tomorrow. The only thing is that he doesn't have $3K to spend all at once so he's going to pay me $500 or so every pay check until it's paid off. Should be a couple of months.

In the mean time I'm going to see if I can pull money from my savings to get another MR2, this time the SW20 I've been looking at. I will have the saving back to where it was so I don't see why I shouldn't be able to. I still have plenty left over for the first semester of room and board for college, my scholarships take care of the rest. But I still have to wait until my dad gets home so we can talk it over. I feel like my parents are a bit upset that I got the bike so that might take into play. We'll see. Hopefully all goes well, if anything I have a truck to drive for a while.

This looks interesting. Cars turns over, in fact it has a new starter and some other parts, but it only runs on starter fluid. Looks like it might be fuel pump, lines clogged, filter, or injectors or something else with the fuel system. That or maybe the coil packs or something else with the wiring. For $2000 though, it's a Supra, shouldn't cost much more to get it running on its own:

https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/d/toyota-supra/6227382671.html

I think I might jump on this, at least go take a look at it and if it goes well trailer it home. I can use the extra money to get the car running well. Newer 7M-GE with 76K miles, should last at least a few years before the head comes loose as they do. Plus it comes with a lot of parts already so I'm sure I can get it back with some man hours. New paint and everything too, this car is gorgeous.

I just texted him as well, compression is great across the cylinders. I'll have to see what my parents say.

That looks like what the s10 dipstick tube when you check the oil sometimes.

Unrelated but this is the serial number on the boats kicker engine. Its a Mercury 10 (9.8?) horse 2 cyl 2 stroke. 837 1903

And this is the steering cable in the boat. Rightfully dicked. I haven't seen this on youtube yet but it looks to be a cable in a cable rather than a cable on a pully system. IMG_0824.thumb.JPG.935fd6a4a9e30eb5462c29a20df7ec82.JPG

IMG_0809.thumb.JPG.3266b18a7c92a1d5f89fe5fa2ba70f7c.JPG

And this is the ignition switch in the controller. I'm going to order a key rather than delete it because I remembered the ignition being on the dash but clearly thats not the case. I should just need a '124' key right?IMG_0821.thumb.JPG.dd63d2d62d3a672db03079a245452ffa.JPG

I have no idea what the key needed is , tbh . Now the switch option looks awesome , doesnt it :P

Most ouboards of that size i have worked on had a rod inside a rod kinda steering system , rather than a cable system , so i can only guess how it operates . But , as you already pointed out , it needs changing .

Take the kicker motor off , put it on a minibike ...

Could happen. I did get it in writing though, and I'm sure he isn't like that.

In the mean time I'm waiting for my dad to get home, I want to see what he thinks of the Supra I linked. My mom doesn't like it because it doesn't run but she doesn't know anything about cars and how it's pretty simple to fix fuel issues.
