For what?

To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

can it play mine craft?

I think we need to worry about them gaining sentience while linked together and killing us all.

I am impelled not to squeak like a grateful and frightened mouse, but to roar...

Maybe he is a smart cookie that invested in BTC 3 or 4 years ago...

And is now rubbing it in your face with his LTC farm.

That's like... 60+ grand in parts by the time they're all put into motherboards etc.. If you used those 6 pci slot asrock h81 boards, it'd be like 18 motherboards+ 18 power supplys, assuming he'd need 18 processors too... thats gotta be like 60k+ in parts to make everything work, then how on earth will he ventilate the room? That's 30000 watts of electricity..

Doubt it. Also I made about 15K from Bitcoin back in the day so it is entirely possible, just not likely. Not everyone made it big on Bitcoin.

Per a profile I found he has less than 25 BTC so @ peak price (before it recently hit over $700/ea) he would have less than 10K. At current price just under 19K and that is assuming he has a full 25 BTC, which his profile states he has less than. Also most of his Bitcoin related forum accounts are from this year. He has one from 2012. And his Bitcoin rig was built in Oct 4, 2012. He had only been mining for 4 months as of that video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-A_NlkGvbM#t=22

He looks like a rich kid, has all kinds of guns, has expensive computer parts. So either his parents are rich, he has a really good job (like 6 figures good @ age 21 and under) or he is a drug dealer xD

Electricity costs in the US are between $21000 and $45000 per year ($.08 - .17 depending on where you live). Making the first year investment between 80-100k including parts, even looking at a five year life span (assuming no components fail) he would need to make between $ 170000- 283000 just to break even. I havent even factored in the cost to keep the room(s) these are in cool (adding the electrical costs needed to run the air conditioning would dramatically increase the cost).

I keep wondering how he got the money to buy all that in the first place.

It's just too much money.

I hope he is joking and sends stray GPU's still in box away in the wind attached to balloons.... And that one lands on my balcony.
