This guy bought 108 R9 290s...

This guy is an idiot...?

He probably is, I have a hard time believing even industrial class Fans are going to be able to cool down the setup he is building there, Pretty sure most of those cards are never going to see their maximum clockspeeds, not even close, the cooling solution is just not sufficient.

Once he finishes getting the risers it may help spacing on the cards a bit, but yeah... 30,000+ watts of electricity is A LOT of heat, not quite sure how he's going to cool the room/ whatever he's using

he'll be making like 10-13k a month, for doing pretty much zero work, wouldn't necessarily call him an idiot :P

Although gambling ~80k USD in hopes that LTC will continue to be profitable, even after the whole china incident , is kinda... Iffy.

The cost to start this is greater than how much he'll make especially since litecoin is going down in value.

Well, as long as LTC doesn't go from the 17$ it is now to like.. 7$, I think he'll be fine, seeing as the 80k he spent will be made back in ~10 months give or take

That's like... 60+ grand in parts by the time they're all put into motherboards etc.. If you used those 6 pci slot asrock h81 boards, it'd be like 18 motherboards+ 18 power supplys, assuming he'd need 18 processors too... thats gotta be like 60k+ in parts to make everything work, then how on earth will he ventilate the room? That's 30000 watts of electricity..

but alot of money too. HE will probaly earn more mone then what he needs to pay

Who knows? May be he just bought the boxes and nothing inside them! May be his retailer gave it to him! If he showed all the gpu's and not only the boxes.....

Maybe he bought boxes with pictures of 290s inside said boxes...
