Unfortunately, a Chinese holding company, made up of former Mad Catz workers, that had purchased Mad Catz assets has now brought them back from bankruptcy.

Yes, this is the same Mad Catz that you know and love for "leading innovation in gaming hardware for almost three decades." (MadCatz.com) They are back to innovate "under new management, with new ideas, new attitude and most importantly, an entire range of new, high-quality gaming products!" (MadCatz.com) You can count on them to "focus first on quality, [to] committed to producing innovative gaming products, [to] design and engineer in-house to stand out amongst the competition and deliver superlative performance for gamers of all abilities." (MadCatz.com) Be excited that "Mad Catz has been a permanent fixture in gaming for almost three decades and we firmly believe it’s best days lie ahead." (Selena Chang, MadCatz.com) Look forward to the future as a MadCatz enthusiast because they "plan to once again forge a path of innovation in the gaming hardware community, and [they're] already working on delivering products which [they] believe will enhance gamers’ abilities and do justice to the Mad Catz name." (Selena Chang, Mad Catz)

Are you sad that they're back or that they're owned by a Chinese company (that is made from Mad Catz employees)? Because I can't see neither of those as negative.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Still don't see a reason to be sad because people are reviving a company.

I'm not sad, I find it entertaining. If they make good products, good for them. But I don't have much hope for them

had a Rat mmo7 mouse from them, great build quality, great mouse, great customisability, subjective looks, good software, plenty of features. Don't get the hate for the company.

the thing is their mice were exactly like you expect them, overpriced and bad quality, sure you got over 9000 options to adjust that damn thing but that also means over 9000 points of failure, that paired with the very high price is what made them fail in the first place.

they really have to make drastic changes if they want it to work this time.

I've owned several of their products, all were very high quality and very well made, I don't know what you're on about

Hey, if they make a nice competator to the G502 that doesn't break in three months of use I'm all for this, but probably not

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Still using that as my mouse for the past like 5 years. Its a solid mouse.

The hate is for the cheap console products like controllers and steering wheels....which were pretty bad. Their premium products are not bad however.

This company could have stayed dead for all I cared, their products were never really that quality IMO.

I don't think that brand will ever overcome the stigma being that cheap peripheral you buy because you didn't want to spend lots on 1st party controllers.
