Hi, i'm doing this for work and i would really like to have you guys do this quick survey it shouldn't take to long it only asks you what age group you are in and how do you view your news. Example newspaper vs TV or Internet or even like my grandpa the radio lol

This is a very important topic, I'm 36 and have wanted to be informed about the world however I find everything main stream to be traumatizing.  Whether it is the nightly news throwing one horrific thing after another in your face, or the blatantly biased 24/7 news outlets.  I have found that the past couple years I get my information from Philip Defranco.  I have watched him evolve and understand his leaning's however he has recently started a campaign to become an all encompassing un-biased news source.  He emphasizes having your own opinion and states his own.  He does introduce bias however keeps the audience aware of such a thing.  Also he gives some decent middle of the road stance or typically what should be a norm.

Reddit mostly. I got tired of all the political stuff and stopped using it. But I was way more informed when I did use it though. Not just politics but world news and occourances and such as well.

Eh, mostly sites like the ABC, SBS & the NT News in Australia, the ABC & SBS cover majority of international news to so there's that covered as well. For local to me news there's 2 local papers that have websites so that, also Facebook trending articles & two local weather & news sites for my region & the one we join up to also the local fire brigades have their own Facebook pages which they post when they attend accidents, fires & other hazards etc..

I get most of my news from the internet. I browse the guardian, bbc, hacker news, YT, and message boards. When I'm travelling on the train I buy the newspaper because it's cheaper than a bottle of water and you get a free bottle of water with it. @Psittac raised such a good point. I too find it hard to uncover a news outlet that doesn't blast nonsense 24/7 or force an ideology. The worst part is that I expect bias from random people on youtube not established journalists. Yet we're having to rely on the former. Has it always been like this? I'm 20, and I've only recently started to give a sh*t about worldy affairs.

This sites only reports about crimes related to refugees in the huge majority of the time. That´s why I love it. I hate "refugees" and I love to read at the end of the when they sexually or violently attack people or screw other things up. It makes me laugh and smile.

I get my news through friends mostly. Sometimes I'll browse the headlines. I don't really need to know much tbh, my job right now doesn't have any cooler talk, and I find that's what most news stuff is.

From mainstream, unbiased news sources. My preferred 3 for world news are BBC, Al Jazeera English and Reuters - between the 3 I can always get a full picture of an event, which is crucial in understanding how the world works which is crucial for international business.

 

For local news I just read headlines on a couple of local papers as I have little use for it. Then whatever newspapers they give out on planes.
