[Updated] Nvidia releases a new Titan X GPU called "Titan Xp"

Such a dumb fucking argument.

Sure lets just stop advancing in technology and never make anything better overtime so that way cry babies can always have their stuff be the best.

Which argument? Have you even understood what I wrote?

Switch the brain on and try again.

The argument that current X(p) owners are having that they got fucked over because they bought for status and now their toy is not the best.

I think it's understandable that they be upset for buying a card they believed to be Nvidia's top offering when in fact it was just a cut down chip. So there's that.

Nope, no argument at all. When someone says "there are birds that fly, and there are birds that can't fly", that is not an argument for (nor against) anything. That is a description.

So this is a Titan version of the Quadro P6000. How long till we get a Titan version of the Quadro P100? It would be cool to have the NV link on a Titan.

Nvidia released a brand new card in their Titan X lineup .. snip
It's called "Titan Xp" yep. Titan Xp. not XP.

.. Snip

So, does anyone remember Linus talking about this? He should have made it a trademark. NVidia owes this awesome naming scheme to him.. maybe even make an LTT color themed model?

Now that depends why it originally was a cut-down core in the first place. Was it because yields weren't good enough or was it a cash grab? Since it's unlikely anyone would go from a Titan X(P) to a Titan Xp, it seems far more likely that yields just weren't high enough before.

Nvidia, the way its meant to be milked xD

I can't even...

Slowly...In the hollows of the trees, In the shadow of the leaves, In the space between the waves, In the whispers of the wind,In the bottom of the well, In the darkness of the eaves...

Slowly places that had been silent for who knows how long... Stopped being Silent.

Well I suspected that it was with such an odd number of cuda cores, but I wasn't aware of any full GP102 variants being sold around then (P100 is a completely separate chip being 610mm).

hmmmm...I don't know why I thought the P100 was GP102. So the P40 launched in September, just after the Titan X(P) launch, but regardless, it was known at launch that it was a cut-down chip, and so it would make perfect sense for a non cut down chip to exist at some point (especially if you look back to Kepler and notice that the same thing happened there).

I feel bad for anyone who bought titan x pascal before xD

GTX 1080 Ti is better than it, and now new titan is released.

Why would anyone pay 1200$ for that Titan Xp, when you can get 1080 Ti for 700$. Performance difference won't be even 15%.

And what we learned from that? Never buy any Titan card from nvidia lol

*Nvidia marketing team meeting*

"Damn it, how do we get people to stop calling the Titan X (New)(Updated)(2016)(Pascal) the Titan XP?"

"I know, let's just actually release a card called that. That'll teach em"

"Good idea, but we need to annoy them more. I've got it! Make the P lowercase"

Unless you want the "professional" drivers, extra VRAM, or the performance 1+ year earlier.

But, if you're patient (and willing to wait a year for a TI) and you don't need the extra VRAM (which isn't even applicable this generation), then buying a Titan NEVER made sense.

You McGyver'd the PSU from a 6-pin to an 8-pin. Don't think that's recommended.

So this is suppose to fall in line with the recent commentary from Apple regarding the modular Mac Pro coming out next year?

Nonetheless, an impressive GPU with from what i see little consumer sensus. A Kingpin 1080 Ti with a great overclock should outperform this easily right :p?
