both ASUS and MSI were caught with performance altered cards sent to reviewers

I'd advise adding a translated version of the Tweet as many of us cannot speak French. Yes we could translate it manually, but it'd be more convenient to have it ready for us.

CPU performance bias is a power efficiency setting.

I guess it's a form of overvolting? The opposite of TPU?

I imagine its for different use cases of the processor?

 

So someone who was doing alot of rendering for example would most likely set it to either CB11 or CB15 as they're both rendering benchmarks, whichever of those options gives them the best results in the software they're using.

Not sure what the aida/geekbench use case could be though.

But how would this work? Surely the only way to improve performance would be upping the clock speed? Every other factor is fixed. So wouldn't it be better to just have the board apply an overclock and leave it?
