  1. Not sure what those guides are talking about but it's been perfectly safe for me for years. I do not use pure vinegar, but a mix with mostly water. I flush my acrylic reservoirs and GPU blocks with a vinegar/water mix all the time. Once I'm done cycling the vinegar / water mix through the loop, I flush the loop thoroughly with water. I retired from the Corps a few years ago myself. Thanks for your service.
  2. Not sure if you are just a fan (avatar) or not, but Semper Fi if it applies. A vinegar / water mix will kill algae and is perfectly safe for your water loop parts. I usually run it through the loop for a while before disassembly for further cleaning if needed.
  3. As mentioned by @PCGuy_5960, you're generally better off with a manually configured OC. The auto OCs are getting better, but they are still a long ways off from dialing in an OC as good as you can if you take the time to do it yourself. In some examples, auto OCs are down right excessive in the amount of voltage they set.

  7. Yeah man, memory on Ryzen is a huge deal. Proper memory timings play a role as well as memory clock speed. Benchmarks are a great tool for troubleshooting. If your clock speed is high, it may be because you have an outstanding chip that can actually run high clocks in conjunction with aggressive memory (better overall performance) or an average chip with high clocks because it's not being pushed (weak memory/more unloaded CPU cycles).   8. Scroll up a bit and you'll see a 4.04 GHz 1600 scoring 1421. If you still have doubts, feel free to check out the OCN and LTT Cinebench threads linked below. He ran his memory faster than yours with very tight timings. Memory is everything with Ryzen and in particular, with CPU specific benchmarks.   9. His runs were done back when Ryzen was still a new thing. Cinebench probably was still incorrectly showing CPU info in some areas. This is why all submissions to that thread require things like CPUz in the screenshot. If you look down in the actual recorded score history on the Cinebench application, you can clearly see that it's a six core. Even the 1800x, which is a 8 core, 16 thread CPU was incorrectly identified back then as a 16 core, 16 thread. A 12c CPU would not even be remotely close to as low as the scores that you guys are getting. I'm pretty sure nobody is pulling a fast one
  10. Is a 1600x/1600 not a 6 core / 12 thread CPU? Yours should show the same thing. If you look at @Jumper118 screen shot of Cinebench, it shows you that his is a 6 core. The reason why his score is so much higher at a lower clock is because he has his memory tuned to keep the CPU fed. Wasted CPU cycles as a result of loose memory do you no favors and means that your CPU, regardless of clock speed is inefficient in comparison. @Jumper118 runs the thread and is okay at best at overclocking. lmao
