Linus's Disturbing Trend to Clickbait

Interested in what, though? I love hardware reviews. I just don't think Motherboard hardware reviews are particularly relevant anymore. It would be nice if they reviewed each "platform" and perhaps each "chipset" though. And in each of those videos, they could do a roundup of various motherboards.

The problem is that even in each chipset, there are way too many motherboards to choose from, with the vast majority of them, only having minor feature differences, and performance being unchanged.

Would you prefer if they simply reviewed every motherboard that got released?

Look: I was initially responding to someone implying LTT is a hardware reviews channel. This is no longer the case. If you only like some parts to be reviewed in depth or others that's inconsequential to the point I am making by giving the example.

If you look at Level1, oc3d, etc. They feature hardware reviews mainly. All kinds of hardware mobos, cases, ssds, monitors, etc. Audience picks and chooses what to view but the base concept is that.

That isn't the concept of LTT, not anymore. It's just entertaining revolving around tech but there's little objectivity, little in depth analysis or proper testing and benchmarks.

To say Linus is biased cause he takes sponsors from hardware companies is henceforth irrelevant: what he does doesn't requires unquestionable objectivity.

I see your overall point, and I agree. I don't really think of LMG as part of tech journalism anymore. They're entertainers first. The little reviews they do, are often lots of fluff and not much content.

How often? That's 1 out of maybe 10 videos. In fact he could easily drop the reviews and I bet many would not notice before a major release like Vega.

Quick question: how many z270 motherboards has LTT reviewed? Exactly. They covered mostly only Kaby chips and rather superfluously at that.

LTT isn't about reviews anymore.

Doesn't change the fact that he DOES review products right now. Therefore, the post I was replying to, was wrong. By definition he is a sellout, and he reviews products directly to consumers, fact.

Let's talk about the real problem here:

The lack of him cartoonishly punching the little girl in the thumbnail.

@Syntaxvgm A lot of their money is gobbled up from the YouTube Network they're part of.

They partner with Fullscreen Media and they take up a portion of LMG's YouTube Revenue.

Much more likely that they actually think about and carefully consider the pros and cons of a business decision before the make it. Just because they don't explain the reasoning, doesn't mean their isn't any. Like any video - just because information is left out doesn't mean it wasn't considered and the decision was made to leave it out.

It staggers me that people think they know the attitude and thought behind the process without being involved in it - there are always dozens of things that go into something that people aren't aware of.

That response from Luke was the same kind of irreverent response he'd have given in 2013 when they were a much, much smaller company.
