What was your first computer?

xserd

The first PC I gamed on was $2500 back in the day when PCs cost over $2000. The first PC I bought for myself for gaming was $900 or so. These days I spend $1200-ish every 3-4 years and roughly $300-400 in between for upgrades. That's my cycle.

Cheers.

I never had a dedicated gaming PC, my computer has always been general purpose but you could say it's mostly used for gaming. My first PC was around 1400DM (in 1998.) in todays terms 700€ or about roughly 950$.

And it was a beast (): Cyrix PR200, PC Chips motherboard (forgot the model), 32 megs of SDRAM 66MHz, ASUS S3 Trio 64V2 with 2 megs of v-ram, 2.1 GB Quantum Fireball, 32X CD Rom, and of course a floppy drive, all that hooked up to a sexy ( :D) Samsung SyncMaster 400B 14" monitor... ahh the good old days  :P

I just got myself a proper gaming PC for 500€, which was used for 2 months.

It has a i5 4570, Gigabyte GTX760 OC 2GB and 8GB RAM, 750W Chieftec PSU (little bit overkill) + R.A.T. 7 mouse.

I wanted to build one myself but I was really limited with 500€ and I couldn't get what I wanted for it so I had to find a used one.

I'm really happy with it and I think I got myself a good deal :)

£350 since I was very skeptical, used the HDD and optical drive from my old PC to save some money. It served me well, but need to build a new one soon.

A NES in 1989 200 dollars. But first pc 1995 I am guessing but it was a packard bell 1000-1300 dollars my parents got it for school work. But it was used way more for duke 3d, doom, quake, ultimate domain, and tomb raider. I also have many fond memories of DOS.

250-300 euro :). Harvested parts from all over Marktplaats (dutch eBay) and build it into an old stripped computer case.

Specs were something along the line of x4 965BE, GTX460, 4GB ram and two 320gb hard disks.

~$800

Built it when I was about 12, and it wasn't bad. Of course now I'm much older and the only thing that probably currently is still being used is the HDD
