I think that we actually have enough good PSUs, you just can't buy them everywhere. I could kill myself and still wouldn't be able to buy a decent EVGA or Superflower in my country. 

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

How about individually sleeved cables instead of mindless LEDs that will be hidden anyways because of the garbage cables.

Same reason you don't buy consumer memory directly from Samsung or SK Hynix, and just buy the third party brands that use their IC's.

The G2 series powersupplies are some of the best units you can get at the moment. I doudt the G2L will be any different for that matter

Yeah since PSU shrouds have become the must have accessory for every new case these day (I have no idea why?), haven't RGB PSUs kinda missed their opportunity? Why do you need your PSU to light up at all?

 

I suppose as someone who finds a PC lit up like a Christmas tree really distracting during late night gaming sessions, I'm not the target market for this, or most other RGB components.

Most cases still don't have a PSU shroud (although they should, it makes things much nicer looking :S)

 

And it's just another item that matches the colors of your build or helps to extenuate them.

EVGA is the current king of the (US) PSU market, and more product orders going through superflower should help those guys out, maybe they'll get big enough to start selling to the US directly, if not we still get another high quality PSU at min

Do people upgrade their psu often enough to justify all the new models always coming out? Im still using my psu from 5 years ago. Unless you need a different form factor i see no reasom for people to swap psus. Provided they disnt buy a 500w psu with plans to get a 980ti
