Well I finally caved in and bought the muzzle device with my gift card. I honestly couldn't think of anything else to buy with it. I got it installed and noticed a huge improvement in flash hiding and a little bit more of a muzzle flip in comparison to the old muzzle device. But hey, now my CETME bayonet properly fits!

Most likely once it's legal across all the US, since the forum server is in the US and therefore has to follow those laws.

I don't disagree with a policy of covering your own ass, and Linus Media Group certainly does their best to be on the up and up, from what I can tell.

 

That said, there are some discussions that are allowed here within a certain framework.  I believe that if it is legalized here in Canada, it would not be difficult for LMG to limit discussion to the lawful aspects of that lifestyle while ensuring certain parts are not discussed.  Not unlike their policy with discussing certain aspects of piracy.

Well Sorry I havent posted anything in awhile been busy with renovating my whole house I bought a month ago and it has been taking away form my gun money but once it is done at the end of the month "hopefully" I shall be back into buy some more firearms. Right now I am in the process of looking for a first handgun for my GF since she wants one so she can go to the range with me more often. Her 21st birthday is in a couple of weeks so I will be able to buy her one then. Still dont know what to even buy yet. Any suggestions?? She only wants a 9mm since that is what she can control the best. She also wants it for concealed carry as well. She didnt like a Glock 43, Smith and Wesson Shield 9 so far. Still want her to try a Walther and a Sig P320 yet but not sure if there is anything else that is remotely good on the market to buy.

My wife is a rifle shooter first but she loves the P226 in 9mm.

 

Handguns especially are something that should be tried before you buy.  Take her to the gun store and give her a budget and get her to hold all the different handguns and go through the manual of arms.

 

I love the P226 but my sausage fingers/thumbs frequently disrupt the slide lock, so it's important to cover as many bases as possible.

If she is looking at the sub-compact department look at the Sig P938, its a great little gun but is very 1911ish in its controls.

She isnt big on the 1911s as they are kinda to heavy for her. It is kind of a pain to shop with her lol. She can never make up her mind about anything. But I shall look at that P938 but I am still leaning towards the P320 as I can swap out parts so she can use the full size as well if she wants to.

One of my good buddies bought a 320 a few months ago because you could swap parts to create different sizes. He seems to really like it, however I have not had a chance to shoot it so this is all second hand info. That said, my experience with Sig pistols has been excellent on every encounter.

Yeah my snap-on guy has the whole family of the P320 and I shot it, I really liked it myself and I am sure my GF will like it too so that is what I was going to look at. but I just wanted to keep my options open to anything.

Hey guys, I got this scope for my AR-15, really nice scope.

I have 45 degree iron sights, because even with a scope, I like to have iron sights.  My issue is that my eye relief causes the scope to be closer to my eye.  While I know AR-15s barely have a kick, I still don't like scopes close to my eye.  When I turn the rifle 45 degrees, the scope is dangerously close to hitting my nose.  Am I messing something up with the scope that I'm not getting good eye relief?  Is the scope defective?

ACOG style optics naturally have very short eye relief, especially those with more budget friendly glass.

 

Your sight is not defective, it's just the nature of the beast with those.

Well finally got my Scope for my Mosin Nagant. Will post some pictures here in a few.

P.S.
Also bought yesterday a lower to start my first AR-15 build. Got a Anderson lower so nothing fancy but it will work. There is another special firearm that I might be getting tomorrow and it is a rare find so I will keep you guys posted if I am able to get it.

Well got a German Mauser K98 yesterday. looks really nice but of course it is a Yugo so the top of the receiver is restamped. Been doing some research on it to try to find out where it was remanufactured and there is no stamping on it besides a import mark into Canada. Still have most of the Nazi markings on it which is a bonus since I know for sure it was a K98. Will post some pictures of it some time soon when I have a chance to take them.

It makes me sad hearing about everyone buying AR-15 lowers and I can't get one since alphabet soup says no fun allowed with their weird laws

 

(can't buy one since I'm not 21 but yet I can buy a fully built AR-15 without trouble)

Probably because you can make an AR pistol out of it but the same is true for a full AR.

That's actually the reason why I can't purchase one. And like you said, what would stop me from buying a fully-built AR and then converting it into a pistol?

 

Laws may be lax here in the US, but a lot of them don't make any sense at all.
