This is some hypothetical whole new level of non-techie I've just thought, so yeah, this is just made up, (though someone might've had an experience like this who knows? ) but what if someone buys a CPU cooler, and straps it to his case instead of installing it on the CPU itself since he thinks CPU = the case/entire computer?

I don't know... Maybe better than trying to use a CPU heatsink as a shuriken... (don't ask, others might know more about this... Umm... 'Incident'. :lol:)

Well a guy in my class said that i should sell my £1500 gaming rig for a new phone, and that it would not be worth £700 on eBay.

Bearing in mind that this guy has got a crappy 2011 iMac, i cant believe he has the guts to do this.

Well i have to admit, my phone is meh, (Xperia SP). Sony were stupid enough to end software support 2 months early just cos they couldnt be asked to release 4.4 Kitkat for it (even though it was a promised upgrade).

Well IDK, why are teenagers so obsessed with phones, and dont care about the real important stuff like computers

Now the rants over, what is the most stupid/annoying assumption/ thing that they have said about your tech?

Well, this was when i was younger, so I belived and i bought one, and it was overheating all the time.

Hmmm, the fact that people diss me because i'm asking my father (college preparation is pretty shitty, especially when you're gunning for scholarhsip...) for a PC, instead of a phone.... They can't understand that i don't need anything better than my M2... It's powerful enough for MY usage!

Yeah, it is great It stutters here and there, but it is a mid range phone I don't need 500+ euros phone for my needs, this one is good enough Same was when i got my tablet I paid around 110 euros for it (really cheap), since i needed it only for reading and light gaming (Temple Run, Subway Surfer...) It is a Prestigio, but it's good enough

Yeah, my phone lags and stutters, but has a beast GPU (Adreno 320), so it plays every game no problem

Now, of course there are some things the iphone can do that my trusty nokia can't, but 90% of those who bought one hardly even know. This guy was dissing my phone (which has unquestionable value anyway) when he had wasted 700 bucks on something he didn't even know how to use to its full potential.

Yeah Mine is also good enough (Adreno 305), and with 480p screen, it's pretty epic

But, i also like to question myself with the same question... If i already have something, i don't need better.... For example, i currently have enough money for ATH M50x, but since i have Sony MDR XD150 which are around 10 times cheaper, i don't need them! 

 

But when someone (everyone around me) asks me "Why would you need a 200 euro CPU when that 70 euro CPU is good enough".....
