A lot of schools in my city have an air conditioner installed at the top of a window attached to a 230V outlet, and there's a switch at the bottom for students/teachers to turn it on or off.

In my lif i have never seen a switch on an outlet in my life. Probally because I have never been out of the US before.

I thought I had some money... Oh wait... I spent it all ;(

I had a lovely coversation with a person:

Me: Hi

Person: How is your rig going?

Me: Good

Person: You?

Me: Took 4 hours to install drivers and build it.

Person: OK....

Person: My alienware is better! It has an intel processor and everything!

Me: Ummmm... OK....

Me: How fast is it?

Person: ITS SO FAST! ITS AT 500ghz!

Me: <FACEPALM x INFINITY>

 

My Friend: Hey bro, I'm getting an Alienware Laptop

Me: Oh cool, I'm building a new rig soon too! 

My Friend: Why bro?  Alienware is the best, their laptops are the most powerful in the whole world.

Me: And the most expensive. 

My Friend:  But they have the best build quality and they have 8GB of RAM!  Thats enough to store tons of photos and stuff! It even has a quad core cpu! 

 

Oneday I ask a group of Apple fanboys at my school:\

 

me: hey how many GHZ's is your CPU?

him: um, around 50 faster than a windows computer

me: *FACEPALM*

 

I was talking to an apple fanboy at college, and he just comes over and chats to me, probably because I'm getting a reputation around the college for being into tech.  And this is the conversation:

Guy: Hey, have you heard of Apple?

Me: The company, yeah, why?

Guy: Because I wanted to tell you they are better than Windows computers

Me: Okay, and why is that?

Guy: They are way stronger and faster and they don't get viruses. 

Me: Actually, I can already think of over 50 Mac viruses that I've seen last year that have spread to over 1,000 mac users. 

Guy: Send me a link and we'll see.  

 

So we go and talk over Facebook and I send him a file.  I warn him though.  

 

Next day:

 

Guy: Dude, help me, theres this thing that asks me to pay money and it won't go away!  I can't do anything!

Me: Is it that virus I sent you?

Guy: No...  Actually, I know how to fix it.  

 

I could see tears building up in his eyes.

 

 

Yup :/

That and a friend of mine spent all his budget on an i7 to play games with integrated.

 

Thats all i got :)

They don't realize alienware is high end Dell under a new name and ASUS and MSI make much better laptops that are probally cheaper and upgradeable. If alienware was called Dell, people would avoid it and actually have some common sense before they put in there credit card number.

I thought I had some money... Oh wait... I spent it all ;(

That's what I did for my friend's build... only difference is that his has a MSI 760 in there, still kinda regret it though, it was 6 months ago when I thought my 660 was EXTREMELY BADASS and that a 760 (which is one tier up) would be a little better than mine....

It was also for a greek project. i think they should just should stop, because most people don't know apperentially in our school dont know what porn is.

Reminds me of this time back in grade school when one of my teachers tried showing us something for a class and it got blocked by the firewall for pornography.

 

Same teacher also caused a BSoD on one of the computers by trying to play a video on it a few years prior.
