Experiences with non-techies

We were going to use solid edge at school today and the teacher told us to open our computers and go to the K drive on our computers, i told him that we couldnt do that because he was logged onto school's serveres through a machine that was issued by school and our computers that we had to buy outside of school werent set up with the software required to do that. He just called the IT departmaent and told them our computers were broken, it guy came and told him almost exactly what i said. And then he told the IT guy to fix the internet....

Years Ago (windows 95 days) I borrowed a cd (pc software) from a friend who thought he was a "tech nerd" . A few days after I returned it he told me I needed to do a virus scan on my computer because when he put that cd back in his computer the next morning his automated virus scan showed he had some viruses. This was a commercial cd and my pc did not even have a cd writer. I told him this and told him to scan the cd itself which he said he had already done but "the virus must have deleted itself from the disc".  He swore for months that the virus came from my computer via that cd.

no wait, it's 60 hz... what?

Oh no...

Capture (2).PNG

Yup, 8 ms response time.  You know what that means.

They went 1000 ms / 8 ms = 125 therefore 125 fps xD

The normal school laptops we get in year 7 have an i3, 4GB RAM, and Windows 8.1

The laptop you get in year 9 if your computer happens to... not work anymore... has an i5, 8GB RAM, and Windows 10.

I've convinced three people that I downloaded RAM from: http://www.downloadmoreram.com/

All of them then tried to download more RAM...
