Current work computer. A piece of crap running XP SP3 with an Athlon 4400+ and 2Gb Ram. It's constantly running out of resources and is slower than a slug. Switching between programs can take over a minute! This is the worst computing experience that I've ever had. Put an SSD in this thing and update to W7/8.1, and it would be worlds better. Even a basic reformat on a newer mechanical HDD would be a twofold improvement.

Is there actually any decent word processing alternative to word? Openoffice/Libreoffice can suck a bag of d**** and i've yet to find a good word processor for windows. On mac, mellel is the only good word processor but they unfortunately will never port it to windows. I don't mind if it's a paid application as long as it's good (especially with different languages etc...)

Well I never found a good word style program, so I started using LaTeX for all of my `serious' work.

That way I don't have to waste time trying to make things look good.

I have my Linksys WRT160N rev. 1 router that I use in my room. I tried to update the firmware. It's fully bricked now. The power light just flashes. If I set my laptop's ethernet thingy to the same IP as the router (192.168.1.1) I can ping the thing so I might just be able to revive it.

Windows Me, I don't know if anything will ever top that, although the tech support for my work is pretty close, it is sad when i have to explain to them what needs to be done, just because I don't have the passwords to access what needs to be done. Games for Windows live i would agree with too, it is up there, took me like an hr to get dirt 3 to work right on my computer, and 3/4 of that was getting a windows live account working right.

Windows live games and trying to cram components too close together in a case, that didn't end well.

More lately, Battlefield 4. The latest patch has broken the game again, can't enter a vehicle without it crashing (and that's not even mantle).

Windows ME was pretty bad too.

Same as a lot of people here...

  • Google+
  • Games for Windows Live
  • uPlay
  • Origin
  • People who can't use tech properly
  • Mac OSX

There might be more, but can't think of any right now.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

Asus motherboards especially during the socket 775 era. (personal experience, I'm not bashing everyone's favorite brand I just find them a waste in South Africa as they cost double that of cheaper brands)

Windows 8.

using an IDE (pata) 5200 rpm HDD as a boot drive.

can't remember the rest, I got a bunch.
