960 flops and then the 970 has issues and AMD is failling .

Whatever you say.

The Ati part of AMD isn't failing, its the AMD part that is.

Of course, these kind of stupid offers are just for attention and have nothing to do with actual business strategy, from a business perspective, this is a very fail and stupid move.

AMDs overall business strategy is as follows:

1. Be behind competitors product cycle by a good half a year if not more.

2. Play cat and mouse on product releases with a  competitor who has more products in their warchest just waiting to be released.

3. When competitor releases something better, start slashing your prices so much the industry questions how much you actually make on them.

4. Make cringe worthy ads and product reveal viral marketing videos to hype up APUs and then say "WE DA BEST"

5. Cry over your quarterly losses but hey, you offer R9 290 space heaters for 250 bucks, so its all good!

And things like freesync. How the hell can Nvidia take you serious as a company when one of the managers tweets you : Hey bro, fuck you ahahha. Guess camp is bleeding, the camp with the color of blood ironically. AMD is becoming a joke. Imagine Tim Cook tweeting Google: Your phones are laggy #shotsfired @iPhone4life.

Freesync pisses me off because AMD is intentionally obfuscating that their implementation isn't actually free for the consumer. It requires compatible GPUs (older people, sorry, you are SOL) AND it requires a capable monitor (once again, SOL) so its none too different from G-Sync.

At least Nvidia straight up says "You need to pay to enjoy this new tech". AMD seems happy to tip toe around and honestly say it, and thus letting the average person think "oh hey, its free

With the rate intel is advancing in graphics and GPU compute, AMD should be dead in ten years. Blue camp vs Green camp yo.

We've seen that Iris Pro already packs a solid punch and with Skylake we know that Intel is bringing 16" battleship cannons to counter AMDs 50 calibre machine guns.

Okay, maybe not that extreme. But AMD was happy to parade the "WHOOOOHOOOO APU MOTHERFUCKERS" for the longest time, but they somehow missed Intel catching up at the rate they have?!

I used to think AMD buying ATI was the end of their business but the truth is them not investing enough in RD is what will do them in. Nvidia and Intel invest like mad, hell Intel is happy to lose billions on RD in the mobile sector just to improve. AMD? Pfft.

But don't worry. Keller is a magician and will bring back the glory days, just you wait and see.

I would love intel dedicated gpus but they dont have the tech to do that .

maybe in the future everyone will bow down to our intel overlods.

Companies have researchers that go to great lengths to work out what marketing tactics give them the best results. If this kind of tactic works then you can bet your arse it's because that is the mentality of their target demographic.

The lying to the consumers marketing tactic is a favorite of Ubisoft too.

So, as Linus so hilariously put it in his latest video, AMD is marketing to kids who have to ask their parents for a new piece of hardware?

LUL.
