I spend a crazy amount of time here and it's creating the situation where by I am losing out on other things in my life by posting here so much/reading this forum so I'm going to bring it to an end.

LTT has grown rapidly since I joined, and on its current trajectory will continue to do so, good luck to Linus, Slick and the team for the future, you guys are awesome and I'll still be watching your videos and the WAN show, just not in the chat because I'm banned.

So yeah, it's been good, LTT is a great place and the most newbie friendly community I've ever been a part of, sure it has its flaws but it's golden at the core despite them, thanks to everyone who's made my stay here pleasant and sorry to all the people I've been a prick to.

I don't like flouncers who leave in a hissy fit but that really isn't me, this is a good terms goodbye that I'm posting so as not to just go without saying anything, some people might consider me rude otherwise.

Some of you will miss me as I've made a few friends here, some of you won't and this will be good news for you, I may return in time or there may be occasional posts from me from time to time, but for the most part I'll be gone, I have to be.

But I do not blame you, I actually only browse the forum at work and since I work in an office at a computer its pretty easy to leave a tab open for me, but I never open the forum outside of work hours (unless I am super bored stuck in at home which is rare)

 

Understandable how it takes over your life

 

Frankly I am starting to enjoy the forum less and less as the community grows and becomes more about arguing and less about helping each other out and enjoying news

i find that its almost the complete opposite for me. i'm pretty sure you would have noticed that i haven't been posting as much lately due to end of year studies and life issues, while i love doing stuff in real life i enjoy being here on the forum as long as these new people don't take over the forum.

I do enjoy the forum hence why I have not left, but since Its open all day at work I find it does not really have any effect on my life, I mean I am stuck at my desk sat on the PC anyway, it only takes up a small portion of my day occasinally checking the new topic feed and any quotes/likes etc

 

But like Askew, if anybody feels that an online forum is taking over their lives, they need to take steps to prevent it, there are way more important things in the short time you are alive to do than argue with trolls and discuss computer bits - it can be fun, and the community is great, but its not a substitute for real interactions and working on things that give you a better life.future 

 

I have started posting less and less, generally I keep trying to prevent myself getting involved in arguments, and sometimes I will read a thread and not even post because it has esclated into a flame war or been derailed off topic

 

That said, that is not my issue, the forum is so busy that its hard to keep up with whats happening, sometimes I come back 24 hours later and I have like 53 quotes posts... its insane
