Excellent.  Now you've finally bought that, Sony can release Demon's Souls and Bloodborne Twin pack on PC 😄

I doubt they will ever be that nice to us. To be honest, I couldn't care less about Demon's Souls, but Bloodborne woud be pretty great.

And I just paid 8 bucks for a used copy and got a used PS4 just for that. After my playthrough, I will just give it back.

PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @4.2HGhz 1.25V || Noctua NH-U12S SE2 || 16GB (2×8GB) Aegis 3000Mhz CL16 @3200Mhz ||

@Skyesgaming and I are going through a similar conundrum with the Fable series.  She's got Fable Anniversary on Steam but will want to play Fable 2 when she's finished that.  The only system that was ever released on was the Xbox 360.  Which gives us three options to play really.  Get an old 360 and run it on that. Borrow a 360 and buy a copy to rip it (totally legal) then use Xenia (this option we've tried but cutscenes have known graphical issues) or fork out big bucks a month for Gamepass Ultimate and stream it.  (This is the way I'm doing it but I get 2 years of Ultimate with my Gaming laptop I bought so it's cheap for me)  I think it'll be easier to do what you've done and just buy a console cheap from somewhere.

Got jealous of @Kilrah's nice find of a TI-89 Titanium lol.

Found this with the original packaging except for the USB cable for $34. In really decent shape but just needs the battery compartment cleaned as one of the alkaline batteries leaked and replace the backup battery. I really like the build quality more over my TI-84 Plus CE and gonna try to daily drive it and learn more about CAS.

That's a very nice machine. I've been rocking an M2 touchbar Pro as my portable for a little over a year now, and I couldn't be happier. The battery life doing daily tasks is amazing.

Kingston HyperX Fury 3200mhz 2x16GB

MSI B450 Gaming Plus

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

EVGA RTX 3060 Ti XC

CPU: i5-13500

HSF: BeQuiet Dark Rock 4 Canceled and debating another choice. One of the main benefits to air cooling is they don't really die (replace the fan/paste as needed) but this has a custom 135mm fan, making keeping it going long-term more difficult.

MB: Asus Pro WS W680M-Ace

RAM: 2x Kingston KSM48E40BD8KM-32HM

SSD1: 1TB Samsung 990 Pro

SSD2: 1TB Samsung 990 Pro (w/ heatsink)

PSU: FSP Hydro PTM X Pro 850W (absolute overkill for what's in it right now, I know, but the price made sense)

Case: Node 804

Fans: 6x BeQuiet Silent Wings 4 (High-Speed, 2500 RPM variant)

I was originally going for the NH-U12S and NF-A12 Chromax Black for the HSF and fans but the BeQuiet stuff went on sale and seemed like solid alternatives for the price. Used the savings to bump my RAM and still came out under the original cost.

Waiting to see if a UPS and WD Red Plus 14 TB drives go on sale for Black Friday and the build should be complete after buying a couple of them (for the time being).

Been given this by a guy at my shooting club....

image.thumb.jpeg.c794f0fa28608c7ee761c259f8c17a98.jpeg

It's got a 900mm F length and a 60mm D length (whatever the D is)

All seems to be there with a few odds and sods in a box too.  I'm hoping to get an adapter to mount my 100D to it for some lovely shots of the moon.

Christ knows where I'll keep it in the mean time....but Free is free

Also bought a bog standard Xbox Series X/S controller in carbon black.  £44 quid from EE.

I'm sick of paying more than double for Elite controllers and them not lasting any longer than standard ones 😞

Feels really good in the hands.  I like the micro texturing all over back and on the triggers and bumpers

3x Inline USB 3.0 A to A 2.5m extension Cables (am slowly starting to buy things for the new Desk setup), 3x Lexar Play MicroSD Cards 1TB (72 CHF for 1 so I couldn't say no, I bought 3 instead of just two thanks to it being on Sale on Amazon) and to replace the Ear Pads on my 3 year old Sony WH-1000XM4s: The creatively named: "Replacement Ear Pads Compatible with Sony WH-1000XM4 Headphones, Headset Ear Pads Replacement Parts (Black)" by the brand "Joysog"

2023-11-22-23-11-13-140_1.thumb.jpg.8a29b70c0650257b0db04f3a468b3946.jpg

Ah yes, unlimited Power & Data:

5TB of MicroSD Card Storage for my whole Steam Library for the Steamdeck. The gaming experience has been great so far on the Deck with having the Games installed directly on the MicroSD Cards, so far only had to move GTA V to the internal M.2 1TB SSD in my Deck because it was taking even longer to load lol. "SD" of course stands for Steamdeck:

Neatly organized, as always.

What the old Ear Pads looked like:

2023-11-23-01-54-33-187_1.thumb.jpg.2dd9273da0fecd6313a3c26e07f9389c.jpg

The Insides:

2023-11-23-02-16-55-506_1.thumb.jpg.a0263a384143eef2a0d82527737ae922.jpg

And the new fresh Ear Pads installed, just like new:

2023-11-23-02-22-48-326_1.thumb.jpg.da2e4500b9527209753843c3a45e74c8.jpg

Luckily only needed my trusty iFixit Spudger to unclip the old Ear Pads. Tho it took some research to find good replacement Ear Pads which weren't horrendously priced, had decent reviews and were available for purchase and shipped to Switzerland. If Fairphone can make the ANC on their Fairbuds XL as good as the XM4s one day, then I can see myself upgrading to the Fairbuds XL gen 2 or 3 one day. Because they are not only extremely easy to repair but also have official replacement parts available through their own Website which makes it a lot easier.

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

Typical cheap flash trash, fills the cache at decent speed then falls on it's face to 2.0 speeds to the actual flash memory on it. Lame. Reads good tho, yeah?

It's nice to get new toys for yourself in change of always getting stuff for the company.

- Facebook Quest 3 128GB
- Club3D 5m active USB-C USB3.2 Gen.2 cable

- 1m USB-C USB3.2 Gen.2 extension to get the port from behind the PC to the front

- Club3D USB-C angled adapter kit

- Otterbox 65W dual USB-C charger

Now the kicker. Only Quest 3 128GB and official Link cable would have costed 699€ in total without shipping, but people don't like things and you get customer returns and when you know what you need you can get some savings, like all of that costed me "only" 630,40€ with shipping.

And yes, now I was ready to sell my soul to the Facebook, mostly because Quest 3 is more AR-headset than VR and costs a lot less than the competition in there and most likely actually works unlike most of the competition.

New motherboard to replace my X370 board, I recently upgraded to a 5950x, NEW SSD and RAM and although it runs fine in the board I have, I wanted to upgrade so I could give away my old board+CPU+RAM+SSD and my old Quadro to a friend who had a break in at home where many things were stolen including their computer.

A Ryzen 1700, 16GB ram, X370 board, a quadro P4000 and a 500GB SSD should get them pretty close to a functioning PC. I was going to give them one of my old monitors but it's DVI and the Quadro only has DPs on it.

Honestly I'm kinda glad they can get some use, I'm trying to clear out some of my hoarded stuff and most of the time I can't be arsed with trying to sell something, then having to deal with people low balling, sorting out packaging and posting and all that. For the hardware I have not in use, it's not worth the time and effort.
