Here's my solution for anyone wondering. Unplugged the broken fan and slapped on a 92mm Noctua low-profile fan I have knocking around for a future project. I did it hastily this morning and it fell off but I spent more time getting it taped up this time so let's see how it holds.

At least the front didn't fall off.

I can't decide what is more jank: Gaff Tape or Zip Ties.

I'd say tape, because it can leave the glue behind which is a PITA.

The only jankier tape than gaff tape is vinyl electrical tape. The adhesive on that crap just degrades into sticky goo within a year (or less in hot conditions). Then the vinyl dries out and shrinks, pulling back and exposing more goo.

At least zip ties have some level of permanence.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

You can get rid of tape glue by picking it up with a new piece of tape and tapping that onto it.
That only works until the tape has "dried" up.
That works with vinyl tape as well. (At least there the goo doesn't dry.)

I only didn't mention that as it wasn't the question and no sane person would use electrical tape in a PC.

Okay I admit, I did years ago hacking molex adapters, and I quickly realised how bad an idea that was.  The invention of Wago connectors and being able to easily buy these sorts of things online were such big things.

There's just no excuse for it in the modern world where its easy to get pretty much any adapter you need online, or use Wago junction boxes.

Cursed Fedora.  Updated my desktop to kernel 6.6.2 and it all worked fine.  So I upgraded Foldbox and the NVIDIA driver failed to compile - they're the same damn OS.

I used gaff tape so I should be good in theory.

Keep on foldin' on! Those are some good stats! I would personally drop that power consumption a bit but a lot of us have put in the effort from the sidelines after missing a signup. We're all in it for to see how the team does for the month and for the greater good 😉

I am so close to getting the badge, the only issue might be the daily activity requirement, but perhaps that's fine too if I fold at least 1WU every remaining day..

I also have 4 memes ready that I'll slowly drop overtime, here's one:
