Note to self...with 14th gen core i7s make sure to update bios on your Z690 Extreme PC early on...just doing that lowered cpu temps by 10c lol note im using a stock intel xeon Heatsink my Bequiet cooler eta is the 1st and i aint waiting...except no folding on the stock cooler the i7-14700k is a tad too powerful for it...

but overall am happy with hald day folding for this whole event and hitting my 100 or less.

if it was not hotter for most of the event. i would have done longer folding times.

I give up trying to understanding this performance gap:

 

I mean sure, the first card is an OC model and you'd expect the power consumption pushing a few more Mhz to be insane (way outside the efficiency range) but you would not expect that to gain you much performance. 

 

Considering both had the curve optimiser ran and are way below the TDP, I wouldn't have expected the OC model to have any difference at all particularly as its using higher voltages.

 

 

Does the OC BIOS have a very slightly higher voltage limit that's making all the difference here?

Does anyone know what's up with the Project 19600? 

It runs extremely efficient on my 2060KO but doesn't max it out. 

Usually with other projects I get like 1.6m PPD at 150w power consumption (Afterburner) 

With the 19600 I get only 1m PPD but at just below 60w and GPU Clock is locked at 1200mhz instead of 1700+ utilization is in the 90% range though.

It's just a small Work Unit, only 21,000 atoms

Kind of goes without saying doesn't it?  If I had unlimited money, I'd be world rank 1.

I have the physical space for two more 4090s, but I'm not sure when I would eat again if I did that.  Of course with unlimited cash I'd not be in a crappy leaky house with poor airflow either.
