Sleep time, I've been up since 4pm, Friday

Switching all GPUs to Alzeimers really helps, its kinda strange how F@H allocate points to WUs that take a lot longer so you score a lot less.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) + GL.iNet GL-X3000/ Spitz AX WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7

I typically only run Cancer WU's. (Becuase.. F^&k Cancer) But I haven't seen a GPU Cancer WU in over a week so I switched to Alzeimers too.  But I turned on some CPU folding today and found that was where the Cancer WU's were hidding out. So I guess I'll have to run some CPU for while now (Because... F*$k Cancer)

Not much of a Gamer….. But I have thing about F@H that may be a little over the top.   See my builds here

I'm letting my machines fold for anything during folding month, but after this month ends I'll be switching my CPUs over to cancer WUs.

Yeah CPU seems to be all Cancer WUs, GPU switched to Influenza if I left it default.

Taking the Macbook Pro offline though as I'm not comfortable with how hot its running given how expensive it was, don't want to kill it.

I also need to tweak the fan profile on my Upscaler box (the 3080) or maybe re-paste it, as I can't run the 9900k for folding on there as it overheats now.  But then its an ITX case (SilverStone SUGO 14) so not too surprising, it really benefited having a blower GPU in there and it was the only three-slot case I could find that would fit in the space I had.  The 3080 third fan is pretty much blocked by the PSU and no intake fans, so its having to run the fans harder which is kinda annoying, but at least the GPU temps are still okay and the whine of the fans is less obvious from another room than a blower.

I haven't run Overclocking scanner since moving the card which seems to optimise the voltage curve, might be worth a go to find the sweet spot to leave it limited to after the event.

I'm getting a lot of 18450, 18601, and 16984 recently, what happens if we wipe out available WUs?

Our rigs go cold until late Monday until the research/ F@h staff refill our supply of work units.  It’s happened before where we have cleaned them out over a weekend.

Longer then that when F@H really took off after Covid.

Thanks did not know that! I will try that today and see how it goes. Even if it works I will switch it back to anything once this glorious race is over.

That's what the config file is for:

 <!-- Folding Slot Configuration -->
  <cause v='ALZHEIMERS'/>

Deleting that line should reset it even if the UI is broken somehow.

What puzzles me is why you can't configure it per-slot given CPU and GPU can get very different projects assigned.

The 1050Ti mobile is barely doing 240k PPD @1430Mhz. Makes me appreciate my 1660Ti more, it has 3x as much TFLOPs but 5x the PPD.

yeah folding needs the option to allow different wu per gpu. hell boinc needs it to.

Hello everyone. I'm a long time folder, sorry I missed the event. I could have thrown a few million PPD this way.

As for the options its why I do a manual setup when installing. I do not like the Web base setup, not enough

control for what your hardware can do when getting the right work units.

If need be I could do a walk threw on how to setup like this.

A little history: I started folding for the ABIT motherboard Co. way back in the day of the NF7 MB.

Team ABIT back then, now ABIT Folding Wolves team #13285 I help out at there forum and later

became Moderator on the forum and over the folding team later. Well the Co. is no longer with us

and almost everyone has moved on to other teams. I myself went to the EVGA team for awhile

but came back home for now. I have a lot of experience with F@H and willing to help where I can.

I see by reading here you already have some very smart people helping. Maybe with luck I can catch the next event and help out.

Edit: BTW that is a laptop showing, that I no longer use because of heat and its getting old 960M video card.

I had hoped to get the pictures done b4 the DL completed, so don't go by those numbers as it still folds pretty well.

Yea they were some great overclocking MB if you got a really good CPU. I still have a working AB9 Quad GT MB.

Actually I still have a NF7 S but haven't had it out in a long time so I don't know if it still works.

I can still remember getting my first Duron with the right code for insane overclocking. 600mhz to 950mhz on my evaporative water cooling setup in my bedroom lol. For science!

Was you on the ABIT folding team back then? Its been so long I don't remember my overclocks speeds, but there pretty high in the rankings on one of the bench marks sites. Might have to take a trip back in time to see if I can find those. lol

I don't think so those were pretty common for tight wads like highschool kids back in the day I think.

I think I was in my early to mid 30's when I got into computers, when my kids got there 1st one and never looked back.

They had a hard time getting me off it to do their school work. lol

Oh crap, I just got an Influenza on the 4090, tell me we haven't run out of Alzeimers?

Oops, I accidentally set it to client-type: advanced, that might be why.
