So I decided it's time we take a break from tech stuff, What do you guys drive irl, and what is your dream car? If you don't have a vehicle that's fine too, nothing wrong with that, what is your dream car?

I'll go first, and luckily I already have my dream vehicle, a lifted 2006 Toyota Tundra SR5 Access Cab. just recently got new tires on her and added a 3' lift about a week ago.

Looking to get running boards, new headlights as these ones are fading, and new wheels. Possibly thinking about a train horn, because why not, but I'm not sure the legality of it

Hoping this Topic can bring some people together and maybe you can meet a fellow car/truck person. 🙂

To be clear, there is nothing wrong with the Honda, but it is still a car and things will inevitably go wrong.

I completely agree with you lol, I dread the day when my truck doesn't start and I have to scrap it.

I have a 2009 Ford Ranger and the wife a 2020 Chevy Trax. I honestly don't really have a "dream" vehicle. I agree with @Arika S that as long as it runs, gets me from point A to B without issue or hassle.. its good enough to me!

Current car is a 2014 VW Jetta (2.0L, 6-spd auto). It's a pretty good car, but it's not perfect. For one thing, the Infotainment system in the mid 2010's were... really unfortunate. Basic Bluetooth support is pretty good, but there are weird incompatibilities (Eg: the forward and back buttons only skip songs on Android, not iOS). It lacks Apple CarPlay/AndroidAuto, and while it's fairly efficient for a gasoline powered ICE vehicle, it's still not amazing on gas.

My next car will either be a PHEV or an EV, depending on availability of selection and cost.

My dream car doesn't exist yet, really. I want an EV that's either an SUV or an "Estate Wagon" (VW did a concept car - the Space Wagon or something? That's the general idea but with actually well thought out styling and design)  - one that was designed from the ground up to be an EV, rather than just being an existing model that was retrofitted... but one that looks normal. I don't like the Tesla Model 3/Y interior design (centric console only - no gauge cluster, for example).

We'll get there though.

There are other traditional cars that I would love to have as a second or third car.

Dream car?  Hard to say.  Every car has tradeoffs.  I *might* eventually want a corvette -- the mid engine one, obviously -- once I have a need of a second car (which will be a minivan or some kind of hatchback).  Until then, I have to have at least the pretense of a trunk and a back seat, and this piece of American Muscle™ is a decent compromise between sporty performance and being able to put things in it.

The car I currently own is a 2007 Audi S6 Avant (5.2 V10 FSI 6-spd auto) and I just now realize I don't have a decent picture of it. This goes to show how much I care about it... Still, my favorite car I have ever owned is a 1994 BMW 730i (3.0L V8 5-spd auto). Picture below. Still makes me sad when I think about the day I sold it. One day I would very much like to get another one of these. This time with the V12.

I own a 2004 Saturn L300 wagon in the .2 trim.

unknown.png

It's an interesting novelty of a wagon, largely because this was GM's last American (both market and manufactured) FWD wagon. The 2004 year was the last year of the L-series wagons and that meant that you could get the middle trim with the V6 now. Mine's in Ice Blue, one of the more common colors on these facelift models.

My dream car... sheesh, I dunno. I really want a 2006 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG wagon in one of those dark greens with a tan interior. That would be fucking amazing.

My car is a Gray 2011 Toyota Tacoma V6 Access Cab with 4WD and extended bed. I don't have a picture of it and it's dark outside so I can't take one to upload...

Honestly I'm pretty happy with the car I have now. I never thought I would want a Tacoma, but since it was handed down to me I've found that I really like it. It has the utility of a truck while handling like a much smaller vehicle. My only gripe is that the interior package isn't that great, so maybe a newer Tacoma with a nice interior would be good. I do love the look of the newer Tacoma models.

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Agreed, my 06 tundra is amazing for the time being, only thing wrong internally is the cloth side panels that need to be replaced. which are pretty hard to come by.

Live in Denmark, so cars are extremely expensive, so i own a

2017 VW Passat B8 1.4TSI Estate (well equipped)

2019 VW Polo GTI Manual

Both owned from new, ordered a Tesla Model 3 LR to kill the old Passat, since the Tesla is a Full Electric, and that is fully exempt from taxation here, and tax is aprox 150% on top of the price. so in theory it is a 76x.xxx Dkkr car (120k ish dollars) for 460 (75k ish)

no pictures of the Passat on my phone, other than all the quality issues, the fun thing is, i am really not a fan of the VW group... wife loves the cars, they drive okay, but there are so many quality issues with them.

YES i have bought a tesla, but to be honest, looking at youtube videos, the issues they have, are NOTHING compared to my Passat and Polo.

I've been considering getting a bike for a long time now, I just have no clue where to start looking for them, and which one is right for me.

Start with something smaller if you have never ridden before, used 300-500cc starter bikes are plenty fast.  They also are easy enough to sell when you want to upgrade as there are plenty of other people looking for that first bike.  Taking a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) class is a good idea as well, helps with basic skills and should also get you an insurance discount.
