Wasn't there a rgb SSD that overheats it to the point it's non-functional?

Again, it is so little that it’s left unnoticed. There’s a small noticeable increase in temperature but ant the same time, would you really want to make your power bill go up just so you could have some decorations on your computer?

Arguing RGB affects performance is really moot point, unless the thermal change is huge (like in the SSD example I gave)

As for wasting electricity, it's not a waste if people enjoy it, much like gaming

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Great thing about RGB is that you can control it and set it to any color you want.. don't want rainbow vomit? OK, set a static color.. You can build a theme around the colors available as well. So flexible and versatile and not limited to just the rainbow vomit that most people think RGB is on first thought.

Some RGB software does cause performance problems but not physical temperature change leading to worse clock speeds.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Again, I said that the heat from LEDs has not been measured to cause decreased clock speeds in consumer electronics. Say what you will about how bad the software is or how the extra cost does not benefit performance, because it's true, but the thermal impact of LEDs inside a PC is not tangible.

As mentioned before there is one SSD that suffers from hot LEDs but that is an outlier. Adding an LED strip to your case won't harm the performance.

I dont mind having RGB in my system but ill never run it in RGB mode, ill pick a color and leave it static. More classy.

For example my Barrow GPU block is RGB, but i run it with static blue.

Personally am more of a fan of the minimalist aesthetic, sure lighting can kinda help with that but I feel like it kinda interferes with the industrial minimalist look

Out of anything you listed to not have RGB... you chose a CHAIR? Since when did chairs have RGB?

I think there is a very fine line between tasteful addition of color to a build with RGB lights and completely overdoing it. I personally only like RGB as it enables me to chose and use only one solid color for my build, which accents the otherwise monochrome components in my rig.

Yes for RGB toilet. No for RGB PC. I only put RGB in my PC coz i got bored over lockdown. It's a total waste of money. I think an RGB toilet would actually be quite useful.

ARGB is a forced expense everyone can live without, but if you ignore it you will get obvious ARGB gaps in the side panel, which I know in my case will niggle me. But what irritates me is the huge mark up on RAM to make it glow in the dark nicer. Its like adding a painted strip to a car and charging an extra grand for it.

I was in the non RGB camp very long, especially when the whole care just was a big sum of one single colour like it was for a long time. With argb it looks better but still think good colour with white light showing it off is still the best.

But I got a set of tridentz neo RGB for a awesome price, the moatherboard have RGB so I said fuck it and got a pack of good looking argb fans (with or without RGB they look good).

I needed fans anyway and they were not that much more than regular non RGB. So now I sit here in the argb camp with only the front panel having a solid colour...have to fix that some day too.
