So iOS14s upcoming Anti-Tracking promt, that requires users to give permission for users to allow ad tracking, apparently is something bad and anticompetitive behavior.

So they think that Apple used their advantage to stifle competition which allows them the only ones doing the tracking...

Anyway the advertising industry is evil,what they are doing should be a crime against humanity.

Oh no are advertisers are butthurt boo hoo. I don't care at all and I want Apple to keep progressing in the realm of security. It's sickening what tech companies do to people just to make money

Huh? Why is that anticompetitive, all it does is help user privacy. It’s not like apple does their own ads. Requiring users to enable ad tracking is a good thing.
If the advertising companies wanted to sue Apple for something, why not go with the App Store or something that can actually be called monopolistic.

In all honesty i don't know what data apple tracks,but i do know that the less amount of advertisers can collect data the better.

So what Apple is doing is an improvement,even if they collect data - they will be the only ones instead of thousands of companys collecting user data.

With Apple ads you can opt out of presonalised ads. 
 

EDIT://You get the option when you det up a new phone. If you opt in you have the option to change it later under integrity in settings.

Interesting, so Apple shows ads and collects data by default, and you have to manually opt out of it. It's ironic considering one of the main points of buying an Apple device is Apple isn't supposed to be collecting your data.

TBH I never liked Apple and only been to France once, realize that France is only about 70M. If you dont want your data collected then I guess the cave is where its at. I know people who still use flip phones, but I believe in privacy but its very hard to secure privacy these days.

I was a “sysop” if you can call it that, in an apple 68k microcomputer lab for a few years.  There was even a Next towards the end, Which should date things pretty close.  One guy was going around trying to sell apple stock for a dollar a share to try to keep the company solvent.  I really wish I bought some now.  I’ve still got an old 17” laptop which I haven’t turned on in years and I’m typing on an iPhone7, so I’m kind of a long time user.   Apple is a lot like old Chrysler.  Chrysler believe it or not was a tech based company.  They specialized in the newest of the new and the hottest of the hot for the first 40 years of their existence. Changed in the 60’s when they had to dump all their tech.  They were doing a turbine car that would run on any burning liquid.  Gas wasn’t important.  That all died though.  Apple seems to be having the same problems around the same time frame.  Apple found new life lately as a “we will protect you from the bad scary stuff” company. They need to not be part of the bad scary stuff to do that though.

When you set up a new iPhone the setup asks you if you want to allow personal ads, at this plint you chuck yes or no. 
 

It’s actually exactly the same as 3rd party advertisers has to do in coming versions of iOS 14.
