I first found LMG through tech quickie when I first got into computers and was doing research. I subscribed after a few videos but quickly unsubscribed because i didn’t think the new videos (at that time) were relevant to what I was trying to learn. A few weeks later I found ltt and then became of a fan. I have since subscribed to all LMG channels (and have even been mentioned in a few) and will hopefully joint floatplane soon.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

My Brother actually showed me LTT on YouTube in 2013 and it also was the first ever Channel I subscribed to shortly after creating my Google account. And specifically this is the Video that he showed me and I got hooked immediately:

He got me into Tech and Computers in 2009 when I was 7 by giving me my first ever Computer with Windows XP and man was it awesome. So yeah I've been following LTT for basically 7 years now and have been a Member on this awesome Forum for 4 years now which enabled me to meet a lot of cool people and make some really good friends.

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

I don't really know honestly. I think I found them through one of those late night, that turns into early morning, YouTube rabbit holes. Pretty sure I started out watching MLP:FIM before falling into that hole. Oh well. I like it down here.

I was getting ready to cancel my main entertainment source at the time, direct tv satellite service because 🤪 they are crazy.

For how they charge and what you get.

Even though I had computers and been gaming for many years. Oddly I had never tried youtube.

So I started watching.

Linus seem friendly, nice, the tech angle was interesting and there was this guy with him on some of the first videos I watched that was very funny.

I think he was like Russian or something I don't know but Linus and him had me laughing.

After some time now I watch LTT videos regularly.

😁

Back in the before days I wasn't into computers, but when starting a certain study a friend in class was like "hey, a YouTube channel released a new video, wanna watch it?" and so we did. It was an LTT video, can't remember exactly which it was; but it probably was around the time of the end of 2013.

From there, I ended up watching some more videos, getting interested in tech, joining the forum (<- after participating in a bunch of giveaways here I actually became an active member) and now I am still here.

Yeah I have watched like every LMG video from all Channels from 2013/2014 till now. I'm looking forward to signing up for Floatplane to also watch all of the Behind the Scenes videos, I hope they have made Playlists for each Category of videos like on YouTube so that I can just binge watch the whole Bts folder at once. The only LMG Channel that I don't watch is Carpool Critics actually, because I'm not able to watch any movies or series yet. Will have to sign up for Netflix and the likes for that, I've got a long list of Movies and TV Shows I gotta watch through before looking for new content and I think that's gonna take me a while.

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

As a Hat of Destruction (Hakaishin for universe 12), I am required to destroy any universes that are no longer worth preserving. LTT/LMG was one of the only things that led to your precious universe being spared. I'll be back when that changes ;)

I was watching porn and in the comments the most up voted one was "is that Linus tech tips the way he dropped that girl" in the video the guy dropped the girl on the couch a few times. I still don't get what it means but I googled Linus tech tips and binged a ton of videos then made an account here.

What did ever happen to Ivan? I know he left LMG a few years ago, but to do what?

I didn't know he had left, I thought he might still be working there behind the scenes or something.

I thought I heard Linus say one time that he had something like 31 employees.

So that's why I thought he might still be there.

I was wondering why I have not seen him in any LTT videos since that time?

That dude was funny.

I like comedy with my tech sometimes. 😁

If I remember correctly, Ivan was only at LTT temporarily, as NCIX shut down.

It might have been an old video I was watching.

I was new to youtube then and I probably didn't even look at the date on it.

Honestly I still don't look at or use a lot of the stuff on it.

Some of it doesn't make sense to me.

I was always into tech since I was a kid (like... 4 y/o-ish) because my parents were both in the IT field and would tell me stories about microchips and such. But I knew nothing about PCs.

It was late 2011/ early 2012 when I started watching LTT, not sure which video is the first one but I went and watch a lot of techquickie and LTT videos to learn more about computer.

Joined the forum in January 2016 (account created a year before but didnt post anything), it was to ask about an issue I was having with the first desktop I built.

Since then I was active on the forum, learning things and helping people (although I was so bad at the beginning that people said I was shitposting)

I learnt a lot about everything while reading and replying. Then I stopped 3-4 months later, either due to lost of interest, or college was resuming. I racked up 8000 posts and just dipped. (Think I even became a meme for having a post on almost every thread.)

Between then and July 2020, I only occasionally pop in to ask questions. Then I resumed being active and started shitposting again. I'm here mainly to help people, since I know the feeling of having an issue and no one being able to help you.

probably anxiety/low self-esteem:

Spoiler

lowkey thinks people in LTT hated me back in 2016 because they said I was shitposting when I was trying to help. (probably joking, to be fair)

even today I still think some users on LTT hate me

they probably don't, but I have low self confidence and like to overthink things

regarding PSU elitist:

Spoiler

I also never liked the PSU elitist side of the forum, think they overblown the whole "bad psu" issue

but while they may be harsh, it's in good intentions, and they've done a good work with the list that helped countless people.

I'll just never personally recommend or even comment on PSU related things to not invoke another PTSD (yes I still remember small things like that after many years, because, again, I have low self confidence and remarks like that really stings)

to anyone who thinks I'm hating them, I don't hate anyone on this forum. yet

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
