Who want to bet that the benchmarks shown were using PCIe 4.0 and when you use 3.0 you're going to have a really bad time? The 5500XT 4GB already was bad, this is probably going to be laughable. Unless it costs under $100 it isn't a forgivable issue in my opinion, and it doesn't, otherwise they wouldn't compare it against the 1650.

My guess is that its just cut down silicon that didn't pass QA and they are just trying to make lemonade from those lemons. The product doesn't make much sense at this point, and they already have options for users who just need a video out.

If it's sub 200$ (CAD) it might be good enough for low end gaming. But considering they are comparing it to the 1650 OC... It probably cost more isn't it. because as it is, Nvidia are the only ones with a "proper" low end card (the GT 1030). It sucks donkey balls, but it's "good enough" for the basic games and older titles after all.

There are some power limited niches that nvidia fill more so than AMD. GT1030 is so low power it can go in pretty much any system with a PCIe slot and physical space for it. 1650 sticks under the 75W PCIe limit so doesn't need the additional power connectors.

I think the bigger question there is why are AMD still selling RX500 Polaris cards at all? RX 580 came out over 3 years ago, ignoring that it isn't exactly different from the 480 a year earlier.

So, how does this compare to a RX 570/580/590? I'm sure it's a lot more expensive than these older GPU's...They label it as 'entry level', so this doesn't make much sense to get IMO.

When I saw the same, I thought "maybe this is a low power card that can go into existing OEM systems with subpar power supplies, something to compete with the 1650" (this is what the 1650 is for: a low-power upgrade OEM desktops with crappy PSUs that dont even have PCIE connectors). But it has a power connector, so that really makes me question why this thing exists. Maybe theyll go very aggressive with value pricing. Who knows, most people are still on 1080p, so if this thing replaced the RX 570 I could see it selling well in that case.

Might see lots of sales for 500 series RX cards pretty soon to sell of the rest of the stock, but who knows.

Based on everything I've read, this GPU will be closer to RX 560/1050ti performance...I feel RX 570's are more 'mid grade' 1080 GPU's even today.

Is it a cableless card that’s can be put in prebuilts like the 1650? If yes how does it compare to the 1650?  The sole single use the 1650 has is that it runs off motherboard power only.  If it is not the fastest card that does so it is completely worthless.

They might push most of these chips into OEM machines for drastically reduced price as a way to sell them off, could definitely see that.
