Successors to the two XS models will carry a "Pro" label—perhaps iPhone 11 Pro. Their flagship feature will be an entirely new rear-facing camera system that includes an ultra-wide angle lens that would "let users zoom out and capture a larger field of view." The sensors would capture three different images to do this and combine them using artificial intelligence.

 

The report also claims the new iPhones will take high-resolution photos that would rival "some traditional cameras" and that low-light performance will get better. The rear array will reportedly include new 3D camera components to improve augmented reality experiences.

Video recording capabilities will also improve; a new feature will allow users to tweak videos while they're being recorded live—cropping, color alterations, effects, and so on.

 

...iPhone XR successor will get one additional rear camera for optical zoom. All the new iPhones will also have an updated version of the front-facing TrueDepth sensor array, the report says, allowing the phones to identify users' faces for Face ID authentication at new angles such as when the phones lay flat on a table. 

All new iPhones will also include Apple's new A13 processor, which will add a new component called either the AMX or the matrix coprocessor. This new silicon will aid with computer vision and augmented reality tasks.

 

The three new models will offer a reverse wireless charging feature...

 

As long-rumored, 3D Touch will be discontinued in the new iPhones. It will be replaced across the line by Haptic Touch, as previously seen on the iPhone XR. Finally, Bloomberg claims that water resistance will improve on the new phones and that all three models will ship with OLED displays.

Macbook Pro

This is because the new MacBook Pro will have significantly smaller bezels around its screen.

iPad pro and iPad

The cameras will be upgraded, though the report doesn't specify how, and faster processors will be introduced.

We'll also evidently see a refresh of Apple's entry-level iPad—the one positioned for educators...

Watch, AirPods and HomePad

A pricier upgrade to AirPods with noise-cancellation and water resistance may be announced this year...

The same goes for a cheaper version of the poor-selling HomePod smart speaker, which will reportedly come with two tweeters instead of the seven in the current model.

Opinion:

Maybe we will see something good this year at apple's upcoming event. As for me, I am just waiting to see how this new ipad pro will last in you what tests. Although this is all just a rumor for now and also the Bloomberg article has alot more on this topic and goes into more detail on some of the apple rumors.

A phone camera will never rival those of a decent real camera, due to sensor size.

I'm looking forward to the new iPad pros, however, they already have the A12X, which means that they would have a A12X+? idk. hopefully apples new SoC brings even more performance, although they don't get a new process node.

I frankly don't need any of the listed stuff except better FaceID, but I guess that alone isn't worth a 800€ "upgrade". XR I have now is good. All I need now is iOS 13. I do wonder what kind of beast A13 will be, given that Apple has set a benchmark for last few years and competition still hasn't really caught up with A12 and it's basically 1 year old now.

The only thing I care about is the Mac. I have an iPhone 8 Plus and see no reason to upgrade in the near future as it does everything I want while doing so quickly and reliably. 

 

I'm interested in seeing what happens to the 15" MacBook Pro once the 16" mode comes out. I'd also like to see if any new components get put in it. We have seen Intel release it's new 14nm++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ chips, so I assume they will use those. But what I really want to see is if they do anything with the graphics. Perhaps AMD has a mobile Navi part that they have been keeping under wraps? 

 

I'm also hoping that they discontinue the existing 15" model so that I can pick one up for cheap(er).

There are rumors that Apple is working on ARM chips, yes. But ARM will not be replacing x86 on high end Macs anytime soon. There is no software library and I don't consider them as being something to worry about when it comes to buying a new Mac.

Personally i'm most excited for them to announce in 5 years that they have finally developed a credit card you can put directly into a wallet or pocket of your jeans and have the whole world fellate them for being the first to develop such an innovative and life changing product.

I really want to see what this 16" MBP is about. I don't need a new one, but I really hate this keyboard. Enough to consider selling my 15" at a low cost and paying $$$ to upgrade.

I am also very interested in the 16" Macbook Pro, i wish Apple did the Hinge thing where you can flip the screen back more and have the keyboard facing down on your lap.

This is very useful when consuming media and you don't have a lot of space in front of you, flying or on a train for example.

It is a lot better having the screen closer to you the experience is much improved.

 

Have a surface book 2 and kind of miss my Macbook Pro but i can't live without being able to turn the screen around in that mode.

Every other Vendor has addressed this differently but allowing the screen to move back 180 degrees certainly is the eaisest and most popular.

 

I guess Apple having to allow touch screen input would be the hard part here since Mac OS has no touch support, better to be late to the party.

I also completely agreed with the reason why as well, as Steve said no one wants to reach across their keyboard to press a screen.

While using a touchscreen in normal mode it does feel weird to streach out and touch a screen, it is only when you have the keyboard gone and screen closer does it feel more natural.

I part of me hopes with the recent changes in the design team this might come out one day.

Personally, I think ot more Apple-like to move away from both Intel and ARM, and develop a RISC-V architecture, perhaps even extending the ISA (it is open source, so Apple can do this, if they so desire) to suit their needs better.
