Bottom of the barrel? Not yet, they still haven't made a program that finds unsecured IoT devices and tells them to run F@H either.

They actually used to have an Android app. It was developed by Sony. However, they had to shut it down unfortunately.

I think it took a huge back seat when sony dropped their end of support for the playstation client. I mean it was a pretty poorly design anyways since you couldn't hook it to a normal folding account as it was. And I'm sure the computing power they were getting from it wasn't worth the time let alone the fact that they probably had to work twice as hard to cut projects into small enough chunks to be able to get them to finish on something so weak compared to today's computer hardware.

Definitely true. I just couldn't resist the urge of sarcasm flowing through me. But you're right science is taking a big win on this event for sure.

You'll overtake me for sure. I'm currently borrowing 20x 1080 Tis, but just for a few days.

I see. Well, I'm also pretty much at the limit of how much I can spend on this Folding Month.

I'll keep this up until the end, but then, sadly, I'll have to drop to "normal" levels of PPD, with just my own single 2080 TI.

This is actually a much better use of mobile computing in my opinion since folding focuses on very large work units. There are definitely some distributed computing projects that work better to be optimized for more less powerful hardware. What projects do you run on them though?

It took a little bit, but I have a new PSU and case for my ITX 2400G HTPC that can support my AXRX 590 Red Devil and it's been added to the folding queue.

I just need to do something about the fan noise now...

Currently asteroids@home.  I was running einstein@home but was getting a few failed work units so i disabled it.  I do need to find a good secondary because sometimes i run out of work on asteroids.

Again left it for 2 days and:

My rig shut down and got unplugged along with my lil' old clunk.

Other computer didn't send results for reasons unknown.

Google cloud computer didn't fold, also for reasons unknown (unexpected shutdown? it seemed like it had when I logged in to it).

Microsoft Azure computer generally doesn't work, and anyways folds so slowly (CPU only) it takes days for one WU

Which left me with:
