Does it have a headphone jack and expandable storage? If so, if the reviews are good I might consider this as an option. I don't mind the bulk, the battery life is making me drool. But, I wish they would have toned it down a little, this is... Maybe too much.

No 3.5 jack is a disappointment, and the device seems inordinately thick for the capacity. Maybe I'm wrong there. I think something with half the capacity at half the thickness would be a better sell. 9k vs the normal 3-4k of a standard device

Well, there is the Ulefone Power 5 that promises the same usage period per charge at 1 week, at about 13000mAh and with a thickness comparable to a 2015 phone with a military-grade case.

It is Chinese-designed, so it may be a bit of a gamble with some of the other specs (possibly) suffering as a result.

I mean if you needed a phone for that continuous trip through that planned highway from NY to London, this thing might have you covered... Honestly, if they would do a decent phone with like a 6,000 mAh battery with half-decent specs (maybe in Note 4 ballpark, so high value budget phones now), I'd totally grab something. But this is way excessive.

 

Can anyone even think of a use case for a massive battery like that? Maybe if they stuck a solar panel on the back, I'd buy it for novelty for camping or something..?

This would be an amazingly good device as a rugged tablet. Ironically enough, the issue with this device is that its too small. Make it a 10-12" screen, make the battery even larger (physically, to fill out the extra size. This would up the capacity a lot too), incorporate bumpers and rubberize it, and slap on Windows 10 on ARM (and a processor to keep up with said load)

DAYUM that's one big boy phone, I think it'll still be thinner than my fucking wallet with all the cards I need to carry around though (sooo many medical, identification, business and misc cards it's not funny).

I've always said its best to have large pockets on pants, and prefer cargo pants for a reason (beyond being able to fit a fucking CD player in my pocket with minimal fuss), this phone would just about suit me and probably get close to a MONTH on a single charge as a phone-phone... with as little as I actually send and receive calls and such. >.> As a portable entertainment/guidance device that would be beautiful for me to just grab-n-go for a full day in town, listening to music, running maps or running Discord in the background and such on it.
