speaking of which, somebody decided to salt the backroads here when it was barely icy. was doing my axle seal last week and noticed my car was starting to get quite rusty.

I wouldn't touch any of them with a 20 foot pole without an engine swap and beefed up suspension. And even then, I'll take the RAM for both form and function.

I can get a 6.7 Cummins in a RAM relatively easily, and I can also get it as a 5500 Dually.

I can't do that with a 3500 or F350. Other than the XD, the trucks I listed are too small for any work (meaning the only reason I would drive them is that I find them aesthetically pleasing).

Because driving sideways in a foot of mud is extremely fun and I can't do that in any of those trucks easily either.

Only on the aesthetic front. Not my fault that most current midsizes look like gunt, it's Ford and Dodge/RAM's fault for withdrawing the Ranger and Dakota. The Tacoma is also ugly, but at least it's ugly in a lovable way and isn't dragging nuts on the ground.
