Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

hmmm course tomorrow is a bit different from normal

looks like right's a winner. yeah @FuzzyYellow I'll see tomorrow for sure!

Matt won't be with me tomorrow, so I'm driving there on the RE-71R's. Shouldn't be any more wear than his runs on them I figured, mostly just interstate anyway and I'll take my sweet time (lol)

Tomorrows focus will be learning to "trust" the car/tires more than I did the first time, but not too much like Matt did his first time. Should be interesting! I'm worried about what happens when you take repeating turns when your right on the limit of grip, the repeated weight trasfers "multiply" and make the rear end of the car more unstable, that's why I was pretty cautious the first time. Need to figure out how to get to those limits while not letting that happen but at the same time not slowing down too much and losing time.

Also need to not lean forward as much and/or move my seat up. I think I figured out why I do that... the wheel is kinda far away but my legs are too long for me to move my seat up more(and the wheel isn't adjustable because miata). So I may just have to run with the seat back up a little farther than normal, even if it looks/feels a little weird, whatever works right?

i love how beamng doesn't factor in the electrics in the engine bay so like it's unrealistic, yet you can still drive totally underwater as long as the snorkel still is.

(water doesn't actually do a lot to electronics believe it or not, especially if you have them sealed)

Agreed. The battery would be the major concern. AvE did a video about why you don't need a waterproof drill to drill a hole under water

Water proof case with internal terminals that leads to external waterproof plugs wouldn't be too hard.

You'd be surprised how long car electrics last even submerged

Not a good idea tho

I'm looking to buy a new car, I don't earn a lot of money so my choice is a bit limited but so far I've narrowed it down to:

  • VW Polo
  • Ford Fiesta
  • Ford Focus
  • and maybe the Opel Astra

I also really like the Golf but it's a bit out of my budget so I don't think I'm gonna get that one.

Out of these which one would you pick? Also do you have any other car to suggest (ideally I'd like to stay under €16k but I can go up to €18k if needed)

Since I work 30km away from home I do at least 60km/day, so... I want a diesel engine it's gonna be less expensive in the long run.
