What was your first ever PC game?

Misanthrope

Any one remember Megarace? I used to play the hell out of that.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

My first "pc" was an old used commodore 64 my mom bought for us kids to play games on.  We had a lot of games to play on it, but i cant remember the names of any of them.

We eventually upgraded to a win 3.1 machine and the first game we had on that was tie fighter, and man was that a blast to play.

IT ran rather slow on the 3.1 machine, but when we upgraded to a more modern PC it was even more awesome.

For a first pc game, that's a torture as it gets imo. Coming from person that spend hundreds of hours on every UT in existence. Except the new one that is.

I know man, my neighbor installed it on our back then family PC and set difficulty on godlike or played online, I was like 6 back then and had no idea how to set it to easier so I just played like that. I did get better tho and had lots of fun. Even more when UT2k4 came out, I don't think I'll ever forget instagib CTF on |GOD| severs. :)

Yeah, Godlike UT bots are some of the hardest enemies in existence, I don't think I can still play a few proper DM against them. That's some cruel neighbor. xD

I think the first PC game I ever played was LHX Attack Chopper on my friends' 286. Can't remember the first game I played on my first PC, it might have been NHL 94.

You remember the arcade versions? I remember that you had to turn the key to the ignition, if you picked manual car would stall if you didn't use the clutch properly, excellent level of detail for it's time. In fact I distinctly remember that I wanted the PC version when I saw it cause I remembered the arcade version. Of course the PC version wasn't nearly as detailed but the track editor quickly won me over.

I'll have to read through this later...

For me, I think my first PC game was Portal. I'd played Halo on PC before, but Portal was the first game I bought and I ran it on the first machine I built.

Incidentally, it was also the first game I bought on console, before I built a PC.

I love that game.
