Based off a facebook post from someone at AMD.

 

 

Apparently this is the "launch" venue for Vega.

 

Interesting choice eh?  Looks like a run down abandoned or... bombed factory... WWI era?  battlefield I era?  October launch era?  Coincidence?  

 

Who knows, but hope springs eternal.

Why would Novideo drop their sales for the GimpForce 1000 series? It's going to be at least a couple years before Novideo releases some more $hills.

Ehm.. I tried to decipher the fanboy nonsense, but I think I got your "point". Pascal was never meant to be. It is a modded Maxwell on a new node. Nothing else. We know Polaris was made for laptops, so it doesn't do that well on high clocks desktop. 

We don't know about VEGA yet, but AMD is simply better at DX12/Vulkan. Almost all AAA games will support either, so NVidia cannot afford to drag out their real next gen architecture for too long. Especially since Pascal doesn't support HBM2.

Exactly, the USSR died so we won by default but the situation is comparable loosely, the way AMD has been going they aren't really bound for great success and getting into an arms race with nvidia will be very costly, if they lose the arms race they are fucked, but if nvidia loses nothing really changes since nvidia has money to stay in the game.
