The response time of the pixels isn't what causes stutter/jitter.

Stutter has an inverse relationship with the response time of the TV; the quicker the response time, the more stutter there is, while slower response time results in less stutter.

Also from rtings. When people mention stuttering, this is usually what they are refering to, and it has nothing to do with the pixels refreshing too fast.

Wow that is terrible phrasing.

 

Fast pixel response does not cause stuttering. It allows you to see the stuttering that is present in your content. 
If you’re watching 24fps content on a piece of shit TV, the horrible ghosting caused by the panel will mask the stuttering because it cannot keep up. Conversely it will look stuttery on the OLED because that’s how it is suppose to look.

 

If you play very fast content like a first person shooter, it will look gross and smeary on the shit TV, and it will look crystal clear on the OLED.

 

Let’s use an analogy.

You take a picture of an elderly person’s face with a 1MP Motorola Razr, and you take the same picture with a mirrorless camera + $3000 lens. The face is more wrinkly on the mirrorless camera. Naturally the final conclusion is that nice cameras cause wrinkles, right? Absolutely not.
