It actually does, it just isn't implemented. look at the p100, and Im pretty sure Linus said that the gp102 can support hbm, but it doesn't have it available yet.

Yes, the p100 and ONLY the p100. That chip has nothing to do with any GP10x chip. Titan XP doesn't have HBM at 1200$ and 1080ti won't either (of course).

It doesn't. P100 is it's own thing. The memory controller is very different, so no GP chip exists that supports HBM. Of course you can make it support HBM by making a new MC and use an interposer, but that can be said about any architecture.

Eh close enough, if they became a monopoly and then jump prices there would be consequences, and it isn't unheard of for companies to be broken into a couple pieces in those cases, it's just not common anymore.

If you are the only one and beat out the rest but DON'T crush small companies that try to come up and challenge you (think AT&T) then you can charge what you want.
