What are some things you have sacrificed for your PC hobby? in the past, ive sold gifts ( with the gifter's permission you quick-to-judge shits ) , and given up hobbies to pay for parts.

Yeah i'd have to agree, if they were completely useless (which i doubt) then it's understandable.

I sold my old PC.

I gave up on a girl friend of two years for it.

Long story short, it boiled down to her saying "Either get over that damn computer and spend more time with me, or I'm leaving you." - Of course I did what any aspiring video game developer did, and responded by changing my facebook status to single. Let's just say, she did not take that well. 

 

Better off without the nag anyway, now I've got my old gf back and enjoying life :3

Only sacrificed the performance level of the components I bought, like an R9 280X instead of an R9 290/X, 4690S instead of a 4690K/4790K.

alot of time. to make money and to wait for the right deals. oh and a airconditioned room i have now sacrificed that for my new pc!

So far? With my current build, 3 weekends trying to get Debian to do what it's supposed to do (see my GPU). 

I mean, countless weekends of things just like that. Getting it to work, basically.

Wallet. And time, working for the money but its worth it imho, i love pc gaming far more than console gaming, especially now that im getting some buddys to use the abilitys andgame library of the pc to my advantage.

I have not bought some food I'd have purchased in order to get some components. Not like skipping meals and starving, more like skipping fancy stuff, desserts and well, going heavy on the rice per week.
