Official Windows 10-tan (Windows 10 Personification/Mascot) Revealed!

Posting this is general since I am not sure if it's news or off-topic.

 

The OS-tan for Windows 10 has been revealed! They did this a few days ago but I didn't hear about it until now. She doesn't have a name right now so fans are free to submit suggestions starting June 19th. You get a wallpaper with the character as a thanks for submitting a name, and 5 people will a drawing signed by Ai Nonaka (who does the voice for the new OS-tan).

For the anime fans out there, she did the voice for Fuuko (Clannad) and Kyouko (Madoka) among many others.

Silverlight's regular clothes is not a bikini.

 

It's just marketing. For example the IE-tan has a facebook page where they post a bunch of cutesy images showing features of Internet Explorer. I think it's nice to see some non-serious things from serious companies every once in a while.

This was expected, they did make Avatars for the other OS's as well as Microsoft themselves and Silverlight. Will expect a cute Wallpaper of the new girl within a month after release.

The woes of not waiting to buy a GPU when new releases hit soon.
