This friday I ordered my corsair k70, but now there is this http://www.corsair.com/en-us/landing/strafedo you thing this will render the k70/k90 obsolete?

obsolete?

 

Keyboard cannot become obsolete. what did you expect them to never release new keyboards ever again?

The Strafe may look nice but it lacks mulitmedia buttons and RGB

I would call it simple, my keyboard from 2002 looked the same, except the font was different (no backlit ofc.)

 

I'm not hating it, but there isn't anything special about the design...

Whatever you do, I would wait a bit, it might drive the price of the current k70 and k90 down a bit, and who knows, you might like this one better.

What I like about the K-series is that the switches sit directly on top of that aluminium plate, so it's really easy to clean.

That's the main reason why I want such a keyboard, but they're so expensive, that it isn't worth it anymore.

The K70 has a volume scroll wheel and dedicated media keys, both seem to not be there on the new keyboard. A keyboard is never truly obsolete, even the IBM model M is still a good keyboard.

To me....It looks like shit anyway... a step down from what they have.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
