Worst Tech mistake you have ever made?

Mitch

Spent 500$ on a prebuilt PC. It's powered by a laptop charger with a CPU That's sodered down to the motherboard.

Can I see some pictures please?

people dislike using secondary drives for storage or something, like I care, complaining about an SSD just screams having too much cash.

30 gb ssd is only around 30-40 euro.....

that was the only storage device he had! it was from a thread on this forum i think called 'most hated part of your rig' something like that.

i was wrong about the GPU but this is what he said

For me, it would definitely have to be my storage solution. I'm running a 6 year old 750 GB sata 2 HDD. My PC takes about 12 minutes before I can do anything on it, and loading a map in any game takes about 3 minutes or so  ;). To put this into perspective here's the rest of my rig:

HD 7950 1055/1525

MSI 990FX GD80V2

16 Gb G.Skill Sniper Ram @ 1600Mhz

Hot-plugged a molex cable into a hard drive. Killed the PSU and the drive. Luckily it only had the OS on it.

My friend wanted a gaming rig for less than 500$. Requirements, it should run BF4 and Watch Dogs at 60 FPS on high settings.

I laughed, a lot.
