Heya!

I figured I'd share some of my mining results from my new 270x with you guys seeing as it's quite a bit faster than what I've been seeing elsewhere (around 450 - 470 ish) and I'm getting 485kh/s

My card is the Gigabyte GV-R927XOC-2GD with an ever so slight bump of 1150mhz on the core clock and 1500mhz on the mem clock, a pretty below average overclock to be honest. I guess If I keep buying tickets I'll win eventually ;)

I'm running Windows 7 sp1 64bit, and the Catalyst 13.12 whql drivers.

Config

  • -w 256 -I 19 -g 1 --thread-concurrency 21568 --shaders 2048 --no-submit-stale --gpu-engine 1150 --gpu-memclock 1500 --lookup-gap 2

Proof

Why?

I guess the Idea here is to share with you guys, who have the 270x, my config... so If you're a bit short of ideas as to how to improve your hashrate on this card by all means try this! I was getting only getting around 450kh/s stealing configs from the mining hardware comparison thingy. I wish you luck with your future mining endeavors :D

Just so you know... I have a 290X with the same exact config as another person and I get 867KH/s while they get well over 900KH/s. It is very card/system dependent.

Ahh... I thought it was similar for all gpu's with the same specs, software, and bios's :/

Nope. Silicon lottery and the rest of your computer actually matter a lot too.

No worries :D That's a bit low for the 270x, is yours underclocked or something?

I actually have 4 cards running on one 750W PSU. Maybe it's not enough for a system like that. I already ordered an adaptor to add one more PSU later, so we'll see what happens with more juice.

Shit yeah, 750w deffenitely isn't enough for 4 270x's D: that's scary. Having not enough power would definitely be why your performance is turds.

Try --thread-concurrency 16k or 15k

WAT

Odd, give --thread-concurrency 16k-21k a try.

So, I got my Kill-a-Watt device in mail today. It says the power draw from the wall is 802W on a 750W PSU. I guess I got really lucky with this OCZ :)

I couldn't get my HIS R9 270x to run at 1150, I had to go down to 1120 for stability. Everything else is the same, and your thread concurrency gave my card an extra 5 khash for 475 khash total. And this only pulls 150W from the wall, pretty good for $200 video card. Thanks!

Hmm its almost 250-300 kh/s diffrence between a 270x and 280x depending on the model. Btw, when you say stable, are you guys talking about no hw errors?

I don't get any hardware error and i've had it running for 2 days straight without it crashing for litecoin mining thats stable!

Yup. They have better khash/$ and better khash/watt rating than the 280x. I've had mine going rock solid for 2 days straight and 65C.
