Correction of something Linus said in the 450D review

Cokeman

In Linus's Corsair 450D review he said that that he wished the case had 8 Pci slots. But then he also said "Well nobody should be putting four graphics cards in quad SLI in a mid tower There isn't enough room to cool them adequately."  Not true what he said. There is plenty of room to cool quad SLI in this case. Quad SLI is when you take two dual GPU cards and put them in 2 way SLI. And since they each have two graphics processing cores therefore its quad SLI. When you have four graphics cards in your system its 4 way SLI, not quad SLI. Not a huge deal just something I thought would be worth noting.

You're a little slow, this review came out in March.

Quad SLI applies for 2 dual GPUs and 4 single GPUs

4 = QUAD = Quadruple

Quad SLI applies for 2 dual GPUs and 4 single GPUs

Use the dictionary :/

I know that quad equals 4

he's right though, 4 single gpus would be 4-way sli, that's just what nvidia called it.

Wait a moment, Jayz2cents spoke about this and said something with 4 way and quad sli and that there is a difference.

They call Quad-SLI on a guide with 4 GPUs in Nvidia's site

http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/how-to-build-a-quad-sli-system#1

I don't really care, because I can't even run more than two cards in my system. I just wanted to point out the Video by Jay.

Ok go get mad a Jayztwocents to he knows what he's talking about 4:00

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GisFXbmWpKY&list=UUkWQ0gDrqOCarmUKmppD7GQ

....No, they're not.

Then go correct Nvidia, even they call it Quad SLI bc QUAD = 4... Just look at the bridge FAQ:

http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/sli/faq#g2

Oh ok.

BTW I knew this before I watched this video

Yeah I watched that earlier today. Doesn't mean jack because quad and four way SLI are the same thing.

Quad SLI = 4-way SLI.

Two dual GPU graphics cards can be called 4-way SLI or quad SLI.

Nvidia has specifically specified that 4-way SLI is the proper way to call anything that has 4 GPUs (notice the difference between GPU and graphics card - two GPUs can be on one graphics card)

"Quad SLI" was just what the general public began calling it.

What Linus meant to say is not quad SLI, but four graphics cards. Usually when people think of 4-way SLI they think of four graphics cards.

There is no specific term to distinguish two dual GPU cards vs four single GPU cards.

Quad SLI just means you have 4 GPU's, can be both single GPU or dual GPU cards.

4-way SLI means you have 4 cards.

(At least, that's how I understand it, but it's pretty much the same thing)
