LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

Oh man, that takes me straight back to when I was a baby back in Cali. Think the CD came out about a week after I was born so I've been around it my whole life.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

Fidelio X2HR’s!

in comparison to the DT990’s I received earlier in the week these are better in almost every aspect.

they sound almost the same to my ears but the comfort is what makes them excel. I wore both pairs for a 12 hour day and the DT990’s started causing ear pain after around 9 hours with a lot of adjusting needed throughout the day. The X2’s were perfect, no ear pain even after 12 hours and no need for adjusting. I almost forgot I was wearing them.

10/10 would recommend

I’ll probably still keep both, the beyers are still amazing and for online games I think they’ll be slightly better (and there’s actually space to mount a modmic)

to my ears the 990 is much better than the fidelios for comp. but if you want an immersive single player experience I feel the ffidelios would be the better pick due to the bassier sound and wider soundstage

Haha, no way!

How much did you pay?

I got it from some German website called 'alternative' or something and paid around £265 including PP.

I have a pair of these but found the cushion to be rather too hard on my head, the clamping force of the X2HR is very strong, i found some £11:99 ones off Ebay from China and they are far better.

I had some SHP 9500's from Phillips, these are a step up in every way if you want comfort, their sound is very good too and not a really expensive set of headphones either.

I use these for listening to music, unlike other headphones these are much more forgiving with bad source material whilst also producing a very good sound that is rich in detail.

You can do better but not near the price these sell for.

I purchased these a while ago, but it takes about 2-3 months for most items off of eBay to arrive. Anyways, these arrived a couple of days ago and I just crammed them in my car.

I bought a Chevrolet Cruze in July, but the previous owner had somehow managed to break both of these vents on the front. It was pretty tough getting them out, they sit there really tight. The new ones are now in and looking good! Now the only thing left to fix is the heater for driver's seat, but...that's pretty much not doable, since it'd require taking the entire seat out of the car.
