Thats a nice cosplay armor

I thought it was CG. :| But it was 50/50 for me and I couldn't tell.

On windows you go and download a driver and it downloads everything else it needs to run.

On Linux you go to download a driver and it looks and goes "oh you already have all these dependencies cause something else needed them so we don't need to get those again". Because it's open source everyone can use the same things and just improve on them together. Because of this lots of things have the exact same dependencies.

That was a pretty large estimate due to the fact that both gnome and wine take up a lot of space.

>i.e. DirectX versions for every single game you get.

TikiOne is a program that scans your computer for DirectX install files you don't need and lets you delete them. I had like 500MB of them at one point with like 200 games installed.

Its a lot easier then it used to be. Your cpu just needs to support virtualization and your gpu needs to support UEFI. With Z170 its a lot nicer but you can do it with non K haswell and all devil's canyon.

Well I'm running an fx6300 that supports virtualization, I suppose you mean the GPU you want to pass through? In that case yus :D iirc my r9 270x is UEFI supported. Now getting a low end card to boot my system :P

yep all AMD cpus support virtualization. The reason I mentioned intel was because they all have igpu's. You have to blacklist your actual gpu in the Linux kernel so that it can be launched by the modded UEFI you are using to boot the windows VM. So you can't display any of your Linux os from that gpu. Also AMD gpus are way better for this because if an nvidia gpu detects that it is running in a vm it shuts down.

The reason why I am going to have two installs is so that one Linux install can use my gpu and the other is the pass through.

Edit: Hyperdimension Neptunia now on GOG. Let the hype ensue!

I say I arbitrarily hate it because at this point I don't even remember why I hate it just that I do. It's not even that I hate mecha since I like decent number of other things that fall into that category.

You're welcome.

Ya know, it's funny. Steam/Valve do so many things right, but for some reason, the thing they don't do right the most is their software (steam itself). I mean, yeah, it has a lot of cool features, but come on man. Better organization of a library from the Steam Client, you'd think, would be a #1 priority issue since the platform is for gaming.

TikiOne is another useful thing that I feel like Steam should do on it's own.

every so often when I think about steam I still think that their friends list doesn't work just because when steam came out it really didn't work for what seemed like years.

Not when you have to take it seriously with an old woman.  That's just plain out awkward, to me.  Maybe it's my social autism/Asperger's acting up too.

That took a slighter darker turn than expected. (ps it was just a joke)
