Go to solution Solved by Needfuldoer,

That's not a problem at all. It's not going to do any harm.

If it bothers you that much, use a cotton swab (with the end molded into a better point) to clean it off.

just now, i was attempting to replace thermal paste on my CPU, i accidentally wipe over the remaining paste to the side. is that pins crucial for the CPU? and if so, what is the ideal way to clean off the paste off the pins? pls help folks!

Its fine, thermal paste is not conductive

You could cover the motherboard in it and it will work just fine

But if you want to get it off, use a soft microfiber cloth and a high concentration IPA alcohol
