Design for myself. 2024 may, 17th.

Budget (including currency): 10,000 USD

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Web browsing, Gaming ( Factorio, FPS "First Person Shooters", Warframe, RTS "Real Time Strategy", comand&conquer, clickers/ Idle, ),
video recording and editing "including downloading & uploading", coding.

Other details high data storage, keyboard, mouse, monitors, possibly a capture cards, and the best fit bios for the usage aim. I have no existing parts to start with.

I copied this and used notepad:

1. Budget & Location

You may have listed a heap of parts that all add up to your preferred budget, but it is easier if you just list the total amount you'd like to spend
and the currency as well as if you'd consider going above that budget for more performance.
We need the location as well because $US are different to $AUD and $CAD etc.

1a: 10,000 USD max

2. Aim

What is the system going to be used for? Web browsing, 3D work? Different systems need various levels of performance
- a computer based for web browsing and office use won't handle heavy graphic design and video editing and a proper
video editing system isn't good for gaming. If your aim is for gaming, please list what sort of gaming.
In the same way that different usage types need different systems, you'll need a lot more power to run Far Cry 3 or Crysis 2 than you would Minecraft.

2a: Web browsing, Gaming ( Factorio, FPS "First Person Shooters", Warframe, RTS "Real Time Strategy", clickers/ Idle, ),
video recording and editing "including downloading & uploading", coding.

3. Monitors

How many monitors do you plan to use? Do you plan to add more monitors in the future?
What resolution are they at too?

3a: two, yes, minimun of 1080p 120 hrtz/ refresh, preferably around thirty six inches when measured on the diagonal of the screen
"if the tech only gets the performance at smaller sizes thats fine"

4. Peripherals

Do you also need to purchase peripherals such as keyboards and mice as well as monitors etc.
Also please tell us if you'll need an OS such as Windows.

4a: yes, high data storage, keyboard, mouse, monitors, possibly a capture cards, and the best fit bios for the usage aim.

5. Why are you upgrading?

We ask this because you may see upgrading as the only path to solve an issue but things such as driver updates,
reconfiguration or cleaning can boost performance without spending a cent.

5a: my two hundred USD wallmart laptop is incapible of quite a lot such as editing software, capture cards, long and or intensive gaming.

Additional: if possible I want to avoid Asus because of the garbage they put Gamers Nexus through. NO RGB! NO WIRELESS!
if possible I would like a case that has air filtering without a glas panel.

At this rate, the real challenge for me will be getting near 10000 USD

Anyhoo, I would go with what @TatamiMatt said at first then if you want to lower your budget. If not then his current one or my last one, depending on what you want. His is with VERY similar performance to mine for that lower cost

Or if you want somewhere in between let me know

Or an AMD version

Im seriously thinking your performance build is viable for meits less than half the cost of what I asked my bank about and that means I can do it on a loan with far less risk and no colateral with a shorter repayment plan too.

Im curious if an AMD version has much differance for what I want to do on it too, mind hammering a baseline on the differance out for me?

Im not going to lie, Ive been out of the tech build loop too long.

followed the link to the second build on the first post you gave and some things I need help understanding.

Warning A on the site is a relatively easy fix, I will just need to know what and how to install on the BIOS.

B is unknown for me because I dont know if the part has a header adapter with it or i need to purchas one.

D is another one I know nothing about and need clarification on.

"copy pasted from site: The video card PCIe 16-pin power connector adapter is being supplied by three 6+2-pin power connectors. Please ensure that the three 6+2-pin power connectors are not daisy-chained and do not share the same power cable." how do I install it properly? do I need more power cables?

the PCIe power connectors have a 6 + 2 pin and the RTX 4090 has a 12 + 4 pin. This is where I got confused

Gaming PC first, second build will be your streaming PC. I'm not a fan of RGB and glass windowed cases myself but the glass windows are near impossible to avoid these days for a decent gaming case. You want to use a triple monitor VESA desktop stand. You can find plenty of them on Amazon. Your gaming monitor goes in the center, your streaming monitor to one side, and the third monitor is to check your chat, surf the net, etc .. 24" is what you want for 1080P so that it doesn't look pixelated (stretched). I read the part about Asus components but this monitor includes ELMB which is a biggy when running high refresh rates. For your headphones there's only one brand you need to know: Sennheiser. Mouse & keyboard would be Logitech so that you can keep them both to one proggy.  500GB SSD for Windows so that if you ever have to do a full reinstall you don't lose your data. 4TB SSD for storage ... keep them both the same brand so that you only have to deal with one proggy for your storage.

Add this to that case in this build. You can also find this set on Newegg & Ebay.

Streaming PC. Triple fan 4060 keeps it quiet while allowing you to use all available codecs including AV1. The 120mm fan goes inside the back of this case for an exhaust fan.

Im not going to lie, Ive been out of the tech build loop too long.

followed the link to the second build on the first post you gave and some things I need help understanding.

B is unknown for me because I dont know if the part has a header adapter with it or i need to purchas one.

the PCIe power connectors have a 6 + 2 pin and the RTX 4090 has a 12 + 4 pin. This is where I got confused

Im a bit late to this so it might be solved but more info doesnt hurt

A is fine, it should come with the a more recent bios anyway

B is also fine as you can take out the drive bay (i think) as you wont need it with M.2 storage anyway and youll want the extra space regardless as it helps with cooling and not blocking airflow

D The 4090 runs off of the new 12VHPWR cables which are 600W cables and need either 12VHPWR end to end cables with ATX3,0 power supply, or an octopus adapter which is basically your normal 6+2 pin PCIe connectors plugged into a 12VHPWR splitter, there are many different types and this is just one of them but youll get a general idea here

I'm kind of shocked people are trying to price out $10,000 systems to play Factorio and Command and Conquer.

Factorio will run on directx ten. The most recent C&C game seems to list intel 4000 series cpus in minimum requirements. Did we stop to ask if OP even needs a $3000 build? Much less $10,000. I don't think our friend needs to take out such a big loan to play these games.

Could these games not be streamed and played on a moderately powerful computer, given that they have quite minimal requirements?

$1000 build 🤣

I'm laughing like I'm joking but I'm really not
