Crashed and rebooted itself, completed two WUs absolutely fine since then and working on the third.

Could it be certain WUs are stressing the GPU in a very specific way that is upsetting it?

Well sometime in the next 72 hours I'll be taking my two 1080s offline, I'd love to keep in the top ten but it's just not financially viable.

Leela is going to go off line if temps dont cool down its 76 in my house lol...Have not used "HEAT" in 1 week lol. and dont want to have to turn on AC...so will start with my lowest point earners if i need to resort to that...

Had my remote system go down this week and forget all of its configuration. Took a few days to redo the tweaks but I think we're back at full strength now

This has been a real problem for me. My apartment is small and heats up so quickly I've constantly had my windows cracked in 40 degree weather.

Only 6" of snow on the ground here now. She who must be obeyed is away for the weekend so I have her computer Folding and running BOINC and through it's being going down to -10C the last couple of nights the house is staying at 21-22C on the ground floor and 24C in the basement. Kind of upside down as the house gets colder the higher you go.

I've been lucky and have 0 snow right now. Your temp stats seem right cooler upstairs warmer in the basement.

Drop the power limit a bunch and slightly undervolt/underclock to gain a crap ton of efficiency and use way less.

It’s a all in one 27” Inspiron desktop 7775 now that I’ve said that I’m trying the newest latest and greatest MSI afterburner. Lol. Just to see what happens. It’s running pretty cool. But putting out a lot of heat.

Yes it was. It has a one terabyte nvme on it (see sig) bought it for a friend of mine refurbished four year warranty about $800 I think. If I recall correctly. After he had it for about nine months The office he worked at gave him his old work computer A precision t3500 basically maxed out but had a piece of shit quadro 4000 (Not a k Not a M 4000 but just a 4000) traded him an XFX RX 580 OC For the aio lol.

I was hoping to be able to put a ryzen 2000 in it. But alas. I couldn’t. Dell has replaced the motherboard on it twice & the LCD once. Both times the mother bord was replaced due to folding at home.

It's a Dell, have you seen their reviews lately? Even their XPS flagship laptops are somewhat dodgy nowadays.

My XPS 9575 (had the Intel AMD marriage in it) battery went bad. A few months after I bought a replacement battery from Dell. They ended up replacing the computer under warranty and I Got the 9500 10750 1650ti and love it. The 15 inch XPS several of my friends have many gens mostly 6th gen & 10th gen no issues at all save for the batteries and touchpads on the 10th gen but firmware update fixed that but the batts is not just a Dell issue. Now if you’re talking they’re 13 inch XPS those are hot garbage. Soldered ram soldered SSD. That is too much like apple.

Most definitely reinstalled. It came with a 1 TB spinner and 4gb ram lol. I don’t keep any of my computers no matter the brand I buy with the factory image Except for Apple . But I have to keep it on Dell specific driver for the video card on this all in one or I get all sorts of strange latency issues. But after this folding event. I’m gonna play around with putting pop Linux On it and see how it behaves.

Well, I ordered a 2GB Nvidia T400 from Amazon, but the seller ended up being out of stock, so I had to cancel the order. I'm debating whether or not to go with a T600 or grab a used Quadro M4000 from eBay. The T600 is newer and low profile (and doesn't require external power), but the M4000 has 8GB of VRAM. It's a full height card, but it's single slot. Decisions, decisions....

Anyone know how the T600 does in F@h? Whatever card I end up with will be used for folding, so that's why I ask.

well would be interesting to see what the t600 can do but soooo expensive for what it is lol from what i can find the T600 is like the 1650 Mobile as its a Mobile chip so should be around this
