Tho technically, unless I open windows because heat, and that I definitely do not in day time this time of the year, I think the electricity my PC uses would just make the normal heating use the same amount less?

My 5700 XT is getting 1.38M according to the program reality it's less around 1.2M (weirdly really low yesterday). It's better than what I got last year if I remember correctly, also the 5700 XT is slightly better than a 1070 in terms of folding (my 1070 was getting around 900-1.1M). I'm using a weird driver that apparently got pushed via Windows update some time ago, for you you can downgrade your driver it was talked about a few pages back.

 

For heating is it summer or winter for you? If winter if possible put the computer in the coldest room, if summer put it in the basement if you have one. While this doesn't solve the power bill issues, it'll fix the cooling/heating issues as much as it can for free.

 

Tbh I think the reason for fewer people is because everyone has gone back to normal life and so they don't wonder around forums as much.

Dont really feel like rolling back driver just for Folding atm.

Its winter 5c outside, PC will be in the room I usually use it in, aka room that is also my bedroom, not going to change that.

 

I understand it being less than 2020, but I remember it being more people than the list posted include in 2019, might remember wrong tho.

I would also note that, my 2060's for what ever reason, are both underperforming. As mentioned above, I suspect that the riser cards are bent from heat, further information on GPU-z shows high PCIe bandwidth utilization.

 

PCIe utilization is typically much higher in Windows for some reason, likely to do with how Windows manages contention for the bus. Here's my 2060's PCIe utilization on a PCIe3 x16 slot running at x8 under Linux:

Since pic taken it has dropped 1 hour, once it's done I'll be installing Minty Cinnamon and hopefully get it up and running that day. (hopefully tomorrow)

Also looking at my P4 board, I can only slam in my 1070 because... The board has 2 PCI slots 

Also the P4 has a 600W modular OCZ PSU in it (as well as a OCZ CPU fan) lol, no idea where the other cables are tho. Oh well not unscrewing it plenty of room for the new PSU at the bottom of the case.

Yea that's fair enough, I was about to update my drivers for something but held off for F@H lol

 

Extra warm bedroom yay  My computer is elsewhere, way too heavy to move. Once I get my 1070 running that's going up where the heat is usually less so.

 

Not sure if 2019 stats are still up I think we have 130~ active folders which feels about right.

But I think in 2019, LTT mentioned folding month on WAN show, they havent done this year. I am guessing that is why.

Yeah I wasn't able to get LMG involved this year completely due my own health being bad and a death in the family. I'm gonna be poking them hard next year as it's the 5th folding month

they did for the covid event.... but the vids weren't super popular so they shelved future folding content afaik

All seriousness doesn't LTT have like 10 different 3000 series cards? They only need one for benchmarks, I also wonder if they are still planning/doing crypto mining.
