Used to be all into ThemeXP back in the day. I feel like the older most get the less we care about vanity and that seems to slip into other aspects of life. If it works and I'm not going to get a ticket between my house and Home Depot, I'm good. 😋

Win 11 with a decent wallpaper and dark mode, I'm ballin'.

The last, best OS interface ever made

Have you checked out Haiku by any chance? It's a binary-compatible, spiritual successor to the BeOS.

This was my Windows 10 20H2 setup:

- Red Night Rainy City Wallpaper Engine background

- Robik Rainmeter widgets

- TaskBarX for the blurred dock

When I got Windows 11 i did this, it's less modified because i like how windows 11 looks already.

- modified cleanclock

- own music rainmeter

The older I get the more I realize how much a lot of that customization just breaks things over time. No thanks.

This.

Few months back I customized the hell out of my windows. It felt good for a time being but soon everything felt so broken and out of place when I began to perform my usual tasks. And then some of the tools began to do weird stuff like opening multiple windows, consuming of all of my internet bandwidth in the bg, i uninstalled everything I had installed but the issue persisted, so ultimately i had to reset my pc.

Bins by 1UP to group apps

Taskbarx for transparency and center taskbar

Aquasnap for transparent windows and smart windows shenanigans

TidyTabs for multiple tabs of the same App

No Icons in Desktop, most thing to Make my programming and Editing workflow better

Darkmode and 15k Nebula Background

Bone stock except with the addition of Classic Shell for a windows 7 style metro themed start menu and file picker icons.

I also disabled just about every frivolous thing i could, though i still cant remember how to get rid of alerts entirely.

Mine's nothing crazy, I just used a registry bug to enable dark titlebars universally while having a nice border color. Then I switched to the Windows 7 Aero cursors and sounds.

My roommate really likes the windows 7 theme. Using a few different programs, he made windows 10 look like windows 7.
